I had dinner there tonight. It was my first time. Now that I'm home, I'll reflect on my experience. The okra is cut in half, lengthwise, and then fried. It was the best fried okra I've had in a long time. If you occasionally fancy fried okra, definitely try LongHorn's take on fried okra. Back to the steakhouse aspect. Beware, the wine list is limited. I usually think wine and steak. The menu here seemed to promote margaritas and something called mules. So margaritas, mules, and steaks? We stuck to wine. I ordered a flat iron steak, medium. I ordered it because 'flat iron" isn't a cut I see at other steakhouses, and why not try something new. So eager was I to try it, that I cut in to it before snapping a picture. It was pretty good. More rare than I'd usually eat, but not bad or I'd have sent it back for a little more warming. So far, food wise, I'm thinking 4 stars. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. We got there at 5pm, early dinner. Not very many people there, but it must have been during a shift change. There was confusion about where we could or couldn't be seated. Having to wait to be seated, at a practically empty restaurant (5pm) was strange, but ok. It's a chain restaurant. There's a chain of command. Once the house was sorted, the host seated us. By the time we left (6:30pm) the place was packed. It was so busy, there were people standing (waiting) inside crowding the bar. People waiting, crowding the host desk and spilling through the first set of doors. The wait spilled out to the parking lot. I mean I saw a whole family sitting on the curb, waiting to eat here. The food was not bad. The service was a little overwhelmed but not bad. Overall, a not bad experience. I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. 3.5 would be fair. If you haven't been, I'd say give it a try and write...
Read moreMy wife and I go to longhorn every year on the 15th for our after Valentine’s Day date cuz vday is too busy. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with ribs. My plate comes out and it’s bbq chicken and bbq ribs. I nicely let the waiter know it was incorrect. They bring my plate back and tried to pass of the same bbq chicken as parm crusted chicken by putting the cheese and parm on it. So now I’m a little irritated. Manager comes over I explain what they had done and the manager began to get a condescending attitude towards me. The waiter then begins to give a rude attitude to my whole table. On top of that they forgot one of my sides and then my wife had to wait 10 mins for Mac and cheese that they forgot. Also my wife’s baked potato had maybe two little shreds of cheese on it. It was the worst experience we have ever had. And we don’t just eat ther on the 15th we eat there often. But this was the worst time ever. It destroyed our experience and we will not be going back To this establishment. I was able to eat 2 ribs and broccoli because when they brought my remade chicken back out they had an attitude about it and just placed on the edge of the table and walked away did not even apologize for the mess up. Also when asked about my Mac and cheese and that my wife has been waiting ten minutes for her Mac and cheese the waiter again was rude turned his head and said nothing then returns 2 minutes later with the Mac and cheese we waited 10mins for. I still had to ask the manager for my Mac and cheese. I lost my appetite and was unable to eat my food. This was the last time we ever visit this...
Read moreVery disappointed. This place used to be a lot better and some other locations are much much better. I ordered my ribeye steak in medium rare and I got it well done, I found that very disappointing because at a restaurant I would only buy food if at the very least it’s better than what I’m able to make at home. If I was trying to treat myself and I got this, we’ll I’m kind of really disappointed. There have definitely been other times at other locations where I’ve had a much better experience. And service, well the website glitches pretty frequently when you’re trying to order on your phone, atleast for the last 2 days when I’ve tried to order. I called today, at 9pm, and nobody even picked up the phone. They don’t close until 10 and all I needed was a quick carryout order. As a restaurant owner myself, I absolutely do not let my staff at any of my restaurants stop picking up the phone an hour before close and miss out on all those extra orders of profit. When I got to the restaurant, I walked in and nobody even greeted me or glanced at me, or even simply acknowledged me. I stood there for 5 minutes before receiving a text to go to the curbside pickup spot, so I did. For the price, the only reason I did not give this a 1 star was because the staff member that came out earned the extra star. She was kind and friendly and professional. It is important to me that I acknowledge that. The inside was also nice and pleasant, I wish I could say I had a better experience because I would love to have been able to have more...
