Edoted review 8.5.22 Not the best visit tonight. Here is a list of issues we had: 1) we both ordered breakfast that had biscuits and gravy - we received a basket with 2 Cornbread and 2 biscuits- no gravy. When we asked about the gravy, we were told they had run out of gravy. I had chicken fried steak with a very small dollop of gravy, 2) No one refilled my water during the entire meal - I drink alot of water. 3) brought my husband poached eggs when he ordered over medium, 4) the server dropped the wrong check on our table, then came back and grabbed it off the table and dropped off another check and didn't say anything to us, 5) server only checked on us 1 time right after the food was delivered by another server, 6) we had to ask twice to get silverware. Granted, this was a Friday night, but not all the sections were open and they had plenty of people working. Pretty disappointed during this visit. I love this restaurant! I almost always order breakfast. but occasional will get the chicken and dumplings because they are very close to how my mom made them. Food is always consistently good with lots of variety - breakfast and lunch/dinner items. Biscuits and cornbread muffins with every meal!! You can spend hours roaming in the country store that has candy, clothing, toys, knick knacks and candles. Pretty rare that we leave without buying something.

We had not eaten Cracker Barrel in awhile and once we got our food and waitress, we remembered why! We ordered tea, I told the waitress the tea was soured. The waitress came back and told me she tasted the tea and I was right. I knew I was right, I didn’t need to be checked. Received a Dr.Pepper as a replacement. My husband ordered the Country fried steak. This was NOT homemade. It is a tv dinner compressed mystery meat frozen patty, plus the gravy that was put on top of it did not cover the little round patty. The turnip greens were good. Gravy was not put on the mashed potatoes. I ordered the chicken tenders, the fries and the chicken were over cooked. Rubbery, not only looking bad but taste was bad. The cornbread muffins were good but the biscuits were undercooked. Salad was good. The bowl was too small to move the salad around after adding the dressing. Long wait time for the food. What got my attention the most was the waitress (our waitress) arguing with an elderly couple about when they get their biscuits/muffins. If the customer wants them before the meal, then give them before the meal! How hard is that!!!

It's been 2 years since I've darkened this doorstep. In 2 years the menu has shrunk with its offerings. I thought I'd try something new with the apple baked french toast. It was horrible. Please avoid. My mother-in-law and I laughed at how over baked the French toast was. They had turned it to burnt croutons. Everyone else was either upset with their portions or cook/server mistakes with the orders. We were never served cornbread and biscuits. I never had my water refilled. Our food busser rolled her eyes when we pointed out mistakes. The waitress was so apathetic it was nauseating. Pancakes were burnt, the slice of ham was no bigger than a silver dollar... It just goes on. The cherry on top was the 25 minute wait in the lobby coupled with an additional hour wait after we ordered. Please see the video to see how busy things were. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Please allow another restaurant to open here that cares, serves good food and has staff that is motivated. A failure at this level cannot simply be laid at the feet of poor management, but at deplorable franchise owners.

We arrived at the place and were told it would be an 1 hour wait. They got us seated soo er then that goe a table of 9. They gave us to waitresses and one lady was very helpful and the other did not know the menu very well as she asked if we would like bacon or sauage with our food and it did not come with that. When the plates arrived they were all missing items and we stopped the manager to let her know. She came of very rude and basically told us that the biscuits that they brought before the food was the biscuits also for there food. My son got a biscuit sauage sandwich and when his plate got there it had one sauage and no biscuit and his eggs were cold. The other plates were the grandpa country fried breakfast that should come with biscuit and gravy and hash brown but none of that was on there. We asked the manager about it and she stated that they needed to use the biscuit in the basket and they could share one cup of gravy that they brought after we asked. We told them we would like another one as they did not want to share one since they both should have one. We also told them that the chicken was very rubber like and they did nothing. I feel like when a plate is brought out it should be complete as stated in the menu and we shouldn't have to complete our. When we asked the manager she rudely would just say is there anything else we want even as we just asked simple questions. One manager did come and talk to us and stated that he would help us if they could. It was also very hot in the store and I understand that ac break but it just added to more frustration. Managers should handle this in a...

Lubbock, Thanksgiving 2021 - Won't do Thanks Giving there again! Typically CB is very good and 99% of the time we eat in. I like the food, never had a problem, until Thanks Giving. I know it's been a couple months since then, and I want to say something else about CB... I have noticed that since Thanks Giving, the wait times for seating are longer, like twice as long; to the point where we left and went elsewhere for our after church lunch. The couple times we did wait, after a 30-minute wait, 1/3 of the dining are is unused and the two other sections (the other 2/3's) have perhaps 30 - 40% of the tables seated. I find it hard to believe that people have to wait so long to seat. My Mother was a Waitress her entire life, and I worked in the industry when I was younger. It is always more acceptable to a customer to waited when seated because at least the wait staff can get waters or drinks out, and make it a bit easier for the customer to wait for an order to be taken. Better to be seated, than standing around! Especially when it is either cold or hot outside. There are some efficiencies that can be made, that will provide greater service and satisfaction to the customer with a little thinking and organization.

I would be happy to consult on customer satisfaction and processes that would provide...
