I want to start off by saying our servers were amazing. We had a large birthday party and they managed the chaos of it well. The food also tasted great.

My issue lies with the kitchen staff and management.

Food kept getting brought out plated incorrectly with different sushi orders getting combined, or the food being marked wrong and given to us instead of the correct table.

However, the biggest issue I have is the attempted dessert order and managements lack of handling it. At the end of the meal around 8pm I ordered a fried cheesecake slice and waited an hour until they were closing for it before I went up to ask if we were still getting it after the waitress reminded the kitchen staff TWICE, including when I saw it was on my bill and we hadn’t gotten it yet. She asked who I presume was someone in management and I was told they’d already sent the kitchen staff home so they couldn’t make the food (I’d already paid and the waitress said the kitchen staff was making it when I paid) and they offered me in-store credit to come back for one next time… not even an actual refund.

And then to make things more ridiculous the presumed management lady, when I asked if they’ll get my name from the receipt or if I should give it to them, handed me a sticky notepad and told me to write my name down before she walked off…….. this is absolutely ridiculous especially as my first time being there having this be my first impression of the restaurant. I wasn’t given a managers name or anything, just that they’d take my name down to credit the cheesecake next time. I have no way of knowing if that will actually be saved or if it’ll be thrown away, which is another big reason I’m leaving this review.

Needless to say after this, the only thing I’m getting when I go back is to get the cheesecake that I’m owed and will likely not go back again after that, which is a shame because I was hoping to come here for...

First I’d like to say this establishment is beautiful! I feel like it should just be the buffet because there is too much confusion with the staff. I am an honest person but I have never waited so long for food in my life nor have I ever walked out. This review is for management. Our server did nothing wrong

My husband and I were seated at 6:45. Our server was the sweetest most kind person. For our appetizer we got 3 egg rolls (which only came as one egg roll cut in half). My husband ordered the hibachi chicken and steak combo and I ordered the hibachi steak with no mushrooms because Im highly allergic. Our waiter came and checked on us many times and even went to the kitchen to check on our meal. At 7:50 a server (who wasn't ours) brought us two of the buffet cups of rice and the buffet size plate of chicken and steak (Wish we had a photo of the food we received but we were hungry from waiting). We told the server that wasn’t our order and he stated that we can just order from the buffet. At this point we are both pissed and ready to walk out. Our original server took a while getting back to us and when he finally did he saw the dishes on our table and already knew the kitchen messed up. He kept apologizing and decided to get his manager to speak with us. The manager tried to offer 25 percent off our order, once we heard her say that, we started to get ready to walk out. Then the receipt comes and she said she went ahead and bumped it to 50 percent off which totaled 35 dollars, didn’t realize my husband actually paid for it. But why offer 50 percent off when the customer didn’t even get 50 percent of the meal. Felt like a slap in the face! 6:35 to 8:45 sat there basically drinking soda. I get this establishment barely opened but as a former restaurant manager,...

I came here to eat on a Monday evening and was seated almost immediately. My significant other and I looked over the menu and made our decisions only to realize our server had not come to our table yet. We waited for approximately 20 minutes before I waived a server down and was told that our servers section was busy. Not too long after that, another worker came to our table and explained that our server had stated that I complained about a 20 minute wait when I had “actually” only been there for 8 minutes.

This was untrue as I have timestamps of when I arrived and when the server took my order. Nevertheless, the encounter was very unprofessional and condescending.

Our food took a standard amount of time to get to the table. Overall the food was not bad but, did not meet my expectations for the price. I did appreciate the presentation of the food on a wooden bridge, I thought that was fun and unique.

I noticed looking around the restaurant that other tables had food on the floor, empty soy sauce bottles, and dust collecting on the furniture around the seats. I also noticed a worker wipe her nose with her bare hand and immediately start handling equipment.

Overall, I think there are better options in town but your overall experience may be better than mine. I am a huge believer in professionalism so my encounter with the two workers has led me to decide to not return to...

Stopped here for lunch with family while visiting the city a week ago, which was a great decision. The menu here is extensive, and there's a LOT of sushi and sashimi choices, alongside classics like fried rice, ramen, and miso soup. I ordered the salmon lover dish, which came with 6 salmon rolls, 7 pieces of salmon sashimi, and 3 pieces of salmon nigiri. I thought I might end up ordering another dish, but it turns out this was the perfect serving for me! The sushi was delicious, and the plating for all of the sushi dishes was super cute, with eel sauce art accompanying each dish. I should note that while you have a-la-carte or all-you-can-eat options here, we chose a-la-carte for our visit. The overall atmosphere of the place was nice, and the lighting and artwork (like the whales hanging from the ceiling) were the highlights for me. And, while the restaurant was somewhat packed when we sat down, it wasn't particularly loud. Service was prompt, and our server explained the differences between the a-la-carte and all-you-can-eat menus super clearly to us since it was our first time there, which was really helpful! This is a fantastic place to stop by and grab some sushi, and a highlight of the city's restaurant scene for sure. I'd highly recommend!

Service was absolutely outstanding. The food was just OK (read below) but a warning: while it can be theoretically safe to eat raw shrimp, I would caution people about it. I've eaten at easily a couple hundred sushi restaurants in my life in every major city in the US and several in Europe, from strip malls to Michelin-starred establishments, and I've never seen it on the menu before today. We ordered a few dishes, starting with a salmon avocado roll that was decent. We also had the sushi for two platter, which came with a somewhat bland dragon roll (avocado, cucumber, maybe imitation crabmeat, drizzled with eel sauce), tekka maki, and a good variety of nigiri sushi which, with the exception of the salmon, seemed a bit past its sell-by date. The miso soup was fine, more substantial and less salty than usual. The fried gyoza were tasty and the sauce was a nice balance of sweet and spicy. We had mochi for dessert and it clearly had melted and been refrozen, not good. The fried ice cream was not great but the dough may be a matter of personal preference. All this plus a couple of lemonades totaled $98 including tax. We'll be returning to try other dishes and I'll update my review if indicated.
