Drove to Lubbock from Amarillo to do some shopping and stopped in @ Ross to look around. Actually found some things, was happy about that. Carlos in the dressing room area was friendly, hardworking and accommodating. Went to check out, wasnāt greeted by cashier who was checking me out. I actually was the one to ask her how she was doing, no customer service or appreciation what so ever. She carelessly put my dress shirts in the bag. I am traveling so I wanted to hang my two shirts up so they did not get wrinkled going back to Amarillo. So I asked her if I could have the two hangers from the shirts that I just bought that she literally just threw in the counter and walked off from. She told me no, I was shocked bc sometimes clothes come with at least the option to keep, but she proceeded to tell me that was there policy. She turned to her manger and she also told me no, which is just ridiculous, literally could not spare two hangers in a store that was not well maintained. The young man cashier, Jayden I think (associate # 2126064, transaction #1787), was slow, rude, patronizing, and very condescending. I was in a hurry, but decided to check out with two items because there were only two girls in check out line. He took over 15 min to check them out, flirting the whole way, and didnāt hear me or another worker who tried to tell him that he is holding up the line. When I got my turn, I told him I was in a hurry, but he didnāt speed up or even apologize, and spoke to me in very condescending way, saying āOh really?ā and LAUGHING in my face the more upset I got!! In my 50 years, and myself having years of working experience in customer service, Iāve never seen or had such a terrible customer service!!! I have a heart condition, and according to my health app my heart rate was 131!!! I understand that everyone is understaffed these days, but stores still have to teach young workers the acceptable way to work and what customer SERVICE really means!! This store clearly isnāt meant for anyone buying more than a handful of items. On top of that, a bunch of my things were missing from my bags. The employees were just standing around watching me, waiting like vultures for me to forget something instead of doing their job and saying, āHey, you left this behind.ā Not a single person bothered to help.
To make it worse, the manager showed upāclearly clueless and couldnāt even speak proper Englishāand instead of apologizing for their screw-up, she just said āthank youā like she did me a favor. Completely unprofessional.
Everything about this place is grossāthe attitude, the service, the vibe. It was my first time shopping at Ross and definitely my last. Donāt waste...
