Saw this restaurant on a list of black owned business so wanted to give it a shot! I enjoyed it. The chicken strips were very yummy and the fries were good too. They also came with puffs which I find rare in Lubbock and they were super yummy. The woman who helped us was very nice. I also ordered mozzarella sticks. These were not so good. Definitely felt like frozen ones they just heated up. The cheese wasn’t that great. I wouldn’t get those again but I would definitely do the chicken strip combo again. I'll be honest the catfish was pretty good and the fried chicken/hushpuppies were great for being homemade. When we first got there the lady that took our order was short and rude. It almost seemed like it took everything in her to be polite. However, when we sat down she was smiling/hugging people getting up to leave (regulars or friends I'm assuming). I was happy to try Dimba's and went on a day off to find the nicest lady ever working who guided me through the menu. I went easy on the fried fish with fries and a 'puff' - sort of an unsweet donut, but I dipped it in the honey. Everything was hot and fresh, and I was thrilled to support local.
I was encouraged to call ahead if I want fried chicken, so I'll definitely do that in the future....
