So today is my 60th birthday and we’ve been wanting to go here for a while. We walked up to the door and we saw the place that they were SUPPOSED to open up so we could give them the password, but there was nobody there— we knocked but ended up just opening the door and walking in and sat at the bar— as small as this is, it IS a part of the “experience” we were looking forward to— and we had the password— that we didn’t get to experience— a bit of disappointing, especially since we’ve been meaning to go here for at least a year and for my birthday, we were really looking forward to it. I’ve been making and drinking anejo old fashioneds for YEARS and their rendition was pure gasoline. Maybe it was the inexperienced bartender or the recipe. Idk. But it was bad. And the Mule, the probably easiest drink to make now after it being so popular for over a decade now, tasted like cheap sweet and sour and no ginger beer. This place could be cool, retrain the bartenders and have some quality control. And get better ice. Cheap gas station bag ice for drinks is unacceptable. Total for both bad drinks was...
