I hate leaving bad reviews but this was just not a great experience. The food looked amazing and then tasted just awful. My husband ordered biscuits and sausage gravy and then I ordered the chicken fried steak. My chicken fried steak and hashbrowns looked perfectly crisp but was so so so smushy. So I'm not sure what happened there (maybe microwaved??? Old oil??? Idk how it could look so perfect but be squishy) but it was sad to say the least. Then idk why you would put eggs on top of biscuits and gravy but they did and it didn't say anything about them being together on the menu so it was a surprise to have gravy on scrambled eggs. But then the sausage gravy is just there regular old gravy but added sausage at the end. Which anyone that's ever made sausage gravy knows thats not the way to do it, missing so much flavor! But anyways, not the breakfast we wanted from this place. Oh and to top it off. Over $3 for 2 sips of orange juice?????!? Come on now...

Had breakfast this morning at Stacked Breakfast & Lunch on 82nd. Two things immediately got my attention. First, I was quickly greeted at the table by my waiter Sean for my drink order with a glass of water in hand. So few restaurants automatically bring a glass (not plastic) of water. Second was the glass (again not plastic) of unsweetened tea. This was REAL tea poured from a pitcher, not from some container sitting on the counter. Fresh brewed tea. I was impressed and drank three glasses of that delicious tea! Lol Ordered chicken fried steak and eggs with home fries and wheat toast. The steak was definitely real steak and was very flavorful. Loved the home fries and the scrambled eggs were just fine. The toast was toasted on both sides (from the grill?) and was thick. Excellent buttery taste. Loved everything about this visit including the outstanding service and of course the food. Makes me wonder why I took so long to try it.

Extremely disappointed. Called and put in a to go order an hour ago and received an already long half hour wait time. Im told to go to the drive thru window to pick it up and wait ten minutes in line with no movement before I decide to go inside. I go in and have a hard time getting assistance, then when I ask for my order am told it isn't ready already 40 minutes into waiting. Then when I finally receive my order 15 minutes later I open the box to see a tiny meal with no sides. Just a biscuit two eggs a slice of tomato and a TINY spoon of brisket. I paid ten dollars for an eggs Benedict that came with nothing. No hash browns nothing. And I only received a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce in a tiny plastic cup to go on top. What on earth?!? Will not be going back ever again. P.s. I followed the instructions in the response comment asking me to email. But I have yet to receive any answer back. Oh well. To be expected.

We were initially really excited to try Stacked, but quickly realized we shouldn’t have even bothered wasting the time here. Our service was beyond poor. As a prior waitress for 8 years, this experience was beyond unacceptable. Our waitress was cold, unfriendly, and clearly bothered by our presence. We were not even told her name and did not get checked on unless we waived her down. After we ordered, we got to sit there for over 45 minutes without her checking on us. We saw SEVERAL other tables get their food and leave that had been seated well after us. I got up and tracked our waitress down and asked her to check on our food. She responded with “who is your server and where are you sitting?”.....seriously. I responded with “You are our server.” I walked away and my family and I watched the Owner talk to her, begin to walk over to us, and then turn and walk away. When we actually got our food, we were disappointed, angry, and really grossed out. My mother-in-law and I both had scrambled eggs and both were gross and tasted like rubber. Both eggs were cold and we told our server to which nothing was done once more. My husband ordered the Corn Beef Hash plate. There was virtually nothing that was edible. The entire meal was fat. Every single piece of meat was more than half fat. To top it off, his meal was almost entirely sweet potato rather than it was meat. So disappointing. My meal was cold, tasteless, and straight up gross. When our server finally showed to actually do her job and check on us, no one had water or any drinks we had ordered, and we all clearly were upset, she simply said, “how’s everything?”, but quickly walked away before we could even tell her. At the end of our joke of a meal, we asked for our ticket (rather than she bringing it over) and nothing was even adjusted for the excessive wait time, poor service, lack of management, and truly gross food. I know that bad experiences happen everywhere you go, but this was our first time and really let us down. We will never go back and having been in the food service industry for years, know that this isn’t excusable. Not once were we even approached by management or the waitress who served us for an apology. We received no apology or empathy from the staff. Don’t waste your time here. Go somewhere that when you order food, it doesn’t come out dead, rubbery, and their customer service actually matters. I wish I could actually...

My family and I decided to take a chance and try something new this morning. We tried Stacked, and personally, we were not impressed. Our server was Caroline, and from the minute she came to wait on us her attitude seemed as though she didn’t want to be there. I get it, everyone has off days. She took our order and waited about 10 minutes to come back and ask how my wife wanted her steak cooked, and then submitted our order. The drinks we were first served, were the only ones we had our entire meal, we did not get refills, nor were we asked if we wanted any. We did! She walked past our table several times; but never stopped, and no, they were not extremely busy. Our food was brought to the table. My eggs were good, hashbrowns were good but a little cold, sausage patties were good and pancakes were really good. My son ordered the monte cristo sandwich, he liked the sandwich(the portion itself was small) and he liked the fries but said they were salty. My wife enjoyed her smother sirloin, said the gravy was a little salty, but the potatoes helped with that. My biscuits and gravy, which I was most excited about, came out cold. Our server never came back after our food was served, or I would have told her, so I just asked her to take them off when she came at the end with the ticket. I had really high hopes for this place, but I just do not see us returning. No, I didn’t complain to a manager because I didn’t feel it was warranted. Maybe our server was having a bad day, I don’t know, but I hope her day...

I had to switch to another account just to be able to leave this review. Apparently my previous review wasn’t appreciated by the owner and they can’t take constructive criticism. That’s not surprising seeing as this time when we went to Stacked we waited for 45 minutes, just to be seated at our table for the remaining 20 to be ignored by the entire staff. While I understand that Sundays are usually busy for all Lubbock restaurants, the fact that we were completely ignored and brushed past was not appreciated. I keep giving Stacked an opportunity to be good and they let me down every single time. The space is crowded, it’s loud, the takeout is inconsistent, and people are seated at the whim of the host or hostess. Eat elsewhere Lubbock. Sidenote, here’s the reply from the previous post: “We appreciate your previous support, contributions to Stacked and our staff. Nick we cannot understand why you would leave such a negative review being that we were super busy because of our TTU Graduates this weekend. I am most positive that all other restaurant are just as busy. I also see all your previous reviews are all 1 star, start thinking some positive thoughts in life it will do the soul some good! The only thing that Stacked will apologize for is that you have a sour attitude for the Economic push for the Lubbock community on weekends like this. GO TECH! GUNS UP !!! Have a...
