Yamagata Japanese Steak House — Restaurant in Lubbock

I took my family to eat after attending church as we have done several times. Today however we had extraordinarily bad service. From the waitress that appeared to be in a bad mood and could not even refill a water after it was requested twice to the angry chef. I ordered an extra fried rice and when I was only given one order and I asked for the extra order, the chef became upset with me. I was told that he would not help and became argumentative. I was then told not to come back. I later asked for the owner so that I may explain and was then what I feel attacked again by the chef (The Owner). This was very disheartening to my family as well as the other couple that was seated at the table as well. In closing, I would not recommend this restaurant to any one that I know. I was not even offered any accommodation or apology. I was just told to not come back! Very embarrassing to me and my family. First time coming here. Came with my family and significant other. When we first walked in. There wasn’t a hostess to greet us. Nothing major. Did take her a bit to come greet us and take our name down (party of 5). We sit down at wait for our turn to be seat. She walked back over to us to inform us that there was another part ahead of us. Which I already knew. Once we were seated. A waitress came to get all of our drink orders. Then placed our order once she came back. Waited a bit for the cook to come. He was behind entertaining!! Wish I got his name. The food was amazing! They do “drench” the food with teriyaki sauce but I for one love that! Don’t like when I can’t taste all the flavors. Towards the end when we got the check. I've been going to this place for several years since they've been open, and for my birthday the past 3 years. Every time was always good but the most recent visit I left unsatisified. The chef, won't say the name, served the entire table completely different from usual. Kevin, the owner, always serves the first serving of rice in order then he comes back around to serve who ever ordered double rice. This chef served everyone there entire order of rice one by one. I was sitting at the end of the table so I received a very small portion compared to what is usually served and to top all of that off before my family and I even sat down the host stated that there were reservations for 70 people for an hour and half later and if we stayed we "needed to be gone by 7:50". At this point I'm thinking "Well, if you can serve us between now and then, everything should be fine." But no we were rushed out before 7:50.
