This beautiful morning I stopped at this McDonald’s, when ordering I asked if I can have my order “made when ordered” (hot fresh fries and fresh patties for the burger. Brittney stated (in drive thru) “uhh I don’t know what that is.” I stated “ I’m sorry, may I get my got fresh fries and hot fresh patties for the burgers?” (I know when I order like this I will be asked to drive forward and wait…but the whole order is hot, fresh and just made, and not stale, or heated under a lamp even if it’s under the lamp for 10-20 or however long it’s literally “made when I order”) Many places know this term when I order and some don’t and that’s ok. This time Brittany did not know what it meant, but stated after I explained “BIG SIGH…Ma’am we’re making food all day and fries all day it’s always fresh, your fries will be fresh as well as my burgers.” She was bothered and let me know by her tone, and snap. I drove to the window to pay, she didn’t acknowledge me, but she was taking an order, I said hi, still didn’t acknowledge me. I held my cash in my hands, she did tell the person ordering in her ear “one second” so I thought she would mention our conversation regarding the order and maybe assure me in a friendly manner that the order would be of the quality she stated it would be. Nope, she didn’t say one word but was irritated by either me, or her coworkers, maybe other customers, or maybe something else. But she definitely wanted me to know she was very irritated at the moment I was at her window. She handed me my changed, and never looked at me or in my direction, no have a great day, or choke on your hot fries… nothing either would have been fine. I drove to the next window and received my order and drove the 6 blocks behind McDonalds in the very close neighborhood, gave the lunch to my nephews to find guess what…. Limp, NOT HOT, NOT FRESH, but warmish fries, and NOT HOT, NOT FRESH but warmish burgers. I’ve worked fast food so I know the drill. So BRITTANY, what would have taken a few seconds for you to simply note the order with the special instructions requested by the customer would have costed you nothing, would have taken no effort, and lastly what you would have done yourself. But what it would have required from you, Brittany, was patience, kindness, and maybe some intention. I was kind when I ordered, I was kind when I encountered your snarky irritation, and I was kind through the whole process.
Take away: Ladies and Gentlemen, this was my encounter with Brittney, although it was unsatisfactory which resulted in an unsatisfactory order due to her unwillingness to do just a little extra, but stay in the bare minimum era.
McDonald’s….. do better,...
Read moreHonestly, I’m not big on writing reviews, but it seems like this is the only way managers and owners will actually acknowledge anything. This is the closest McDonald’s to my house. And it never fails every time I come to this McDonald’s they gave my order wrong or they don’t give me half of my order. I guess I could say it’s my fault for driving off without checking my bag, but isn’t it their job to make sure everything is in the bag? It’s ridiculous to pay for something and not have it when you drive off every time I order as well. It seems like they’re playing around back there like they’re not paying attention to what they’re doing mind you I don’t always go out and eat. I do it when I have games When I’m rushing to work or school actually rarely but every time I do, it’s all wrong. It’s funny because they repeat it back to you or they tell you to check your screen and it’s correct and you go back and half of your food is not in the bag. Also, we ordered one time and we actually paid on the window and my husband went back in there because after 45 minutes, they wouldn’t come out to give us our food. He goes in there and they said we never ordered that. They don’t have a order for us. We showed them the receipt and they said they didn’t have anything they try to check for the date and the time that really was very annoying I don’t know, but I feel like they need to pay more attention on what they’re doing never coming back to this McDonald’s again they say third time...
Read moreDear Corporate McDonald's, I remember when a chicken sandwich at McDonald’s had a fillet that dared to peek outside the bun. Now? I’ve seen Post-it Notes with more surface area.
Let me be clear, this isn’t a store-level issue. For that reason, I don't like having to leave a mid-star rating while the crew was amazing. I worry this review will get tossed down the chain, and the GM will get told, “You could’ve avoided this,” when it’s your corporate choices setting the standard. That’s not just unfair, it’s insulting.
Prices are up, portion sizes are down, and somewhere, Ronald McDonald is counting profits while the rest of us get half a sandwich and a full bill.
When will you be releasing the McNothing? At least then I’ll know I’m getting exactly what I paid for.
Respect to the staff. They're always kind and pushing through the rushes with determination; I know because I've watched them do it. But the price-to-quality ratio is heading for the PlayPlace graveyard. You’re losing trust, losing profits, and punishing the customers who still show up. Have you stopped to think THIS is a factor on why you have had the worst same store sales drop since the Covid pandemic? (3.9%? I mean... ouch)
Fix it before “Would you like nothing with that?”...
