McDonald's — Restaurant in Lubbock

There were no other patrons dining in when we entered the restaurant. No one greeted us and no one was at the front counter, so we used the self-serve menu board. It instructed us to take a number and that a team member would bring our order to us.

The front dining room was a little dirty (trash on the floor, crumbs on tables) and the back dining room had "wet floor" signs and the mop bucket was out, but I didn't see anyone mopping during the visit.

We sat in the front dining room and waited, however our food was not brought to us. A number was called (turned out to be our receipt number, not the table number we selected) so I went to the counter to get the food. There were no cups on the tray, so I waited until I could catch the attention of an employee (the third person who made eye contact came to help. One of the first 2 was a manager.) I told the employee that we were waiting at the table as instructed and she said "that's ok" (?)

I got the drink cups and we filled our cups, after placing a row of napkins on the counter to soak up the spilled sodas that were there before us, then sat down to eat.

Both of our burgers were prepared incorrectly. My child approached the counter to ask for more ketchup and called "excuse me miss" several times before he was helped, but one he was acknowledged the interaction was pleasant and polite.

We were inside for 40 minutes and no one else spoke to us, and no employee came to the front dining room during that time. The staff seems to have a good, as they were joking and laughing with each other and the manager. Several delivery drivers came to pick up orders and were greeted, and as we left, a group of other customers came in and were greeted, still no one spoke to my child and I.

Went through drive thru and was asked to pull up to reserved parking to wait for my food to be brought. When my food was brought to me it was not my order at all. The employee went back inside to get the correct order. We waited 10 mins and then pulled up to a normal parking spot and my wife went inside to question the poor service of our wait time. She was in there another 10 minutes and so I turned off my car and took my 8 month old baby and my 6 year old daughter out of the car and inside to meet with my wife. I called out to the manager on duty whose name is Glory and asked her why my drive thru order has taken more than 20 minutes of wait time while other drive thru customers received their order and left along with walk in customers arriving and leaving with an order as I continued to wait. All that was told to me was sorry as the manager remained on the line preparing other orders and not taking time for a customer who has waited longer than any customer should. Man I went in there on 6/26/2025 at high noon lunch rush and they were getting there butts handed to them and they were training new employees as well on register. Employee didn't hear ne right so Miss Lady Tara was doing all kinds of things, I think her blood pressure was high (told her to keep an eye on that lol) but when frustration comes in but you hold your composure and provide awesome customer service with a smile while managing a store, I live for that. I was on a 30 min lunch break and a refund was needed for me to get the right order, she came in like a boss and took care of your boy. I was strapped for time but food came out quick and I had enough time to eat and It was awesome. She even said I can sit in the player section(back part of store)Which was very clean, all the crew acknowledged me when they didn't have to and that's rare.
