Taco Villa — Restaurant in Lubbock

We have been Taco Villa fans for years. So this review is hard to post. Over the past couple months we have received the wrong orders, missing items, & just bad food. Today we went for breakfast. My husband got a biscuit & gravy. The gravy was a shiny tan color with some sausage bits spooned on top. It was not even hot. I had my favorite "a bacon egg & cheese breakfast soft taco with red sauce". The taco had very little filling & no red sauce (I had to really look for it). When I asked for the red sauce they had no clue what i was asking for & tried to give me hot sauce from the side bar. My soft taco was hard & had been grilled. This was not my Taco Villa. I am so disappointed. We will not go back to the Quaker Avenue location in Lubbock, Texas again. We live in Post, TX, so returning orders from drive-thru wasn't possible on some of orders. On first impressions this is a really nice place with new furnishings. But then we ordered. The lady who took our order walked up texting on her phone and took her time getting to us until she was done. After the order was placed I was immediately talked about behind my back and was made fun of by the staff. It was hard to find a clean table, a good 85% percent of the tables here where dirty. After we got our food that wasn't at all what we ordered, we looked the back at the staff who where all on their phones texting and talking loudly. The take out packaging was inconvenient overall--the tacos dumped completely into the little bag and the chalupa had to be pulled out of a bag as though it were a loose sandwich topped in lettuce and shredded cheese. However, my bean burrito was nice and filled, and my cheese nachos had the addition of chopped tomatoes. The hot sauce was an excellent sauce, the best part of our meal. The two stars comes from the price, the fact that the huge medium drinks had a distinct chlorinated water flavor, and (perhaps, okay, probably) an order error was made, causing us to have to return after driving away.
