Great little bar on strip. Has live bands on weekends and good bar tenders. More then one as well. Quite busy though on weekends. Prices are ok and general vibe is good. Security guard hooked me up with a super strong Jack n Coke..... Less of coke more of Jack! Lol so you get some added perks if nice to the staff! Never ate any food there not even sure if they serve. I don't think they do. But smoking in front and out back. Can carry drinks out as long as in cups. Cups are supplied at each door to transfer drinks. Your allowed to walk the streets with drink in these clear plastic cups also and go to bar to bar!

The Sandbar is one of those hidden gems where musically magical things happen. Things like the Iron Maidens, and Michael Angelo Batio (two shows that I attended there) among many other. The bar area is small and narrow, but opens to a larger room in the back with a decent sized stage. It's sort of a dark and dingy joint, but it's a dark and dingy joint that makes you feel right at home. Great PA & sound gear along with decent lights make for exceptional show in a cozy atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

We went to THE SANDBAR (also known as “Dawns Place”), Saturday night, 4th of July weekend and had a blast! This is such a cool place! Looks tiny when you see it from the outside and when you first walk in, but go to the very back and it opens up and has a big stage for the bands that play there and the sound system, wow, it’s the best around! There was not much seating, but as the place filled up everyone was on the dance floor anyway! Great atmosphere super friendly people of all ages! The owners, Dawn and Gerald, are a really cool couple, who are involved and take pride in their bar! They also have food like Tex-Mex, nachos, pizza, etc., if you want a bite to eat. Mixed drinks were perfect and reasonably priced. We will go back there again,...

Don't come here expecting hand shaken apple-tinis. Do come here expecting a good time with friendly people. Friday karaoke is a blast with great singers, good singers, and singers. Everyone gets a round of applause. Atmosphere is 90's chic, and done well. No frills, no ego stroking, no la-ti-da, no hoity-toity pompous people telling stories about when they wrecked their 911 in college because their girlfriend Tiffany screamed when a bunny ran onto the road. You will meet the real people who make this area function, other tourists as impressed with this place as you, and maybe me... I'm definitively coming back the next time...
