Curious about something? There’s a book for that. The Book Mark in downtown Ludington should be your first stop in the morning for any type of coffee you may want. Check this out, they have soy, almond, coconut, skim, 2%, and whole milk, as well as, half-and-half. I personally choose half-and-half, mostly because I still have two holes in my belt buckle to go. They can also flavor your coffee with pretty much anything under the sun. Aside from your favorite coffee, they also have the areas newspapers. Now before you go and get all “ newspapers are yesterday’s news” on me, let me just say that I was in that boat too but these days I’m finding more joy in having something tangible to hold on to rather than getting sucked into the black hole that is the click bait of the internet. That is correct, there are no popup adds at the Book Mark. Books! The Book Mark has all sorts kids books; fiction, non-fiction, and everything in between. Heck, I even found a book on the best home designs of the 1920’s! Can’t get much more random than that. They don’t just have reading books here, there is also a huge selection of adult coloring books along with the colored pencils to go with them. The kids will get lost in the maze of children’s books and stuffed animals while you are looking at the local nick knacks for sale (everything from wine glasses to coffee mugs). I think I even saw some fidget spinners on the counter. Now that you have your paper and coffee, it is time to leave right? Wrong! There is a huge lounge area and even some tables outside. They also have free WIFI. So kick, back sip on your Mocha, and enjoy the atmosphere and just maybe meet one of the regulars or someone new. If you’re more of the professional type, they also have a private conference room available. Whatever you are looking for, great coffee, friendly faces, interesting reading material, or simply a place to relax, Book Mark is the perfect coffee house to meet all...
Read moreSeems like one political ideology is highly represented yet the opposing view was not represented. At least not that I saw, I may have simply missed those books/mags. They also had some "children's books" prominently placed that were on some super disturbing topics such as suicide and gender. We chose not to spend any money here. I was going to get coffee but the line was so long I didn't want to wait. I also didn't want anything special and saw pumps/pots on the counter so it looked like I'd wait all that time to get up to the counter to just grab a cup and fill it myself. Perhaps this is just my lack of understanding of how their coffee shop works. I miss readmor. They took out SO MANY books to make room for the coffee shop and seating area. ...
Read moreI absolutely adore book mark. They have a wonderful caffe, an excellent selection of books from every genre, and will order in anything you request. They have a lounge and conference room to read or eat or work and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also give back to the community providing a free reading tutoring program for kids after school that want to take part! It's just a really amazing place and I am so grateful they decided to take a chance and open up a bookstore in our small town. Two thumbs up, I am so thankful that they are in Ludington and poor so much back into the community! Highly recommend you check them out if you...
