Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Lufkin

In the "South" "fried chicken 🐔" is synonymous to "happiness" ... I was born in Lufkin some six decades back and have resided in communities all over the entire world ... "One" ... "There is no place like home 🏡" ... and "Two" ... "There is no place like"Church's Chicken" ... I noticed that (all) of the customers that were patronizing the location that I was at were "seasoned" customers ... That translates to ... "something must be getting done right 👍 when the standards are as high as they are for customers of the South to keep returning year after year ... (and as an added bonus to the great tasting food ... the young ladies that are employed at this location are some of the most well mannered and genuinely nice people that I have had the pleasure to do...

There’s only one word to describe this place. GHETTO. We drove into the drive thru and there was no answer for 10 minutes. I decided to go in. The cashier seemed stressed and mad. She was arguing with one of the customers and refered to her as “grandma” so I’m not sure if that was how they communicated. She was unprofessional and even left the counter to confront her “grandma” and threatened to go out and fight. She didn’t care to lose her job. Her words. One of the lady cooks was holding a bag of jolly ranchers while cooking. It was hot in the building and honestly it didn’t feel safe to be in that hostile environment. Me and my boyfriend came in there today to eat. The young lady that took our order was sweet. But she got my order wrong. I wanted spicy chicken strips. But got original. But it wasn't her fault. She was taking our order and she couldn't hear what I was saying. Because the crew that was working in the back was really loud. The sweat tea was awful. Horrible!!! The bicusit was hard. Horrible! The floors was wet where you sit and eat. And one women came out and mopped but did not hat a sign out showing it was wet. She was loud and yelling at her crew. I spent $21. And some change.
