My experiences at this location have been hit or miss. But things have improved over time such that I feel I can now rely on a smooth experience there. Their onion rings with no salt are a little guilty pleasure treat. There seems to be a lot of variability in how fast food/fast casual places make onion rings. Sonic comes to mind (grainy and too sweet for my taste). I love Culver's onion rings. I do not mind waiting in the drive up, knowing that things are fresh. [Although my significant other does not like this aspect of Culver's, such that I usually go there on my own or we eat in.] It is the only place I can get a pork tenderloin sandwich - a nice slice of home (Midwest) that I have rarely seen in Florida. I am not a fan of the fixings being put under the meat patty/tenderloin. I try to remember to order it with the fixings under the top bun, but sometimes I forget! This is not a good or bad thing - just personal preference [but something to know about when you order.] Their small chocolate cone is a nice treat as well. Not too huge and much better than other fast food ice cream drive through options. Staff are super friendly. They seem along the lines of Chik Fil A in terms getting a sense that friendly customer service must be part of their training/a priority.
Update 8/23/16 Super friendly staff but slow service. This was between lunch and dinner, lot did not seem too full, only one car ahead of me ordering, and it took some think like 15 minutes. I get that they make things fresh so it is worth the wait. But the bulk of the wait was to TAKE my order, not MAKE my order. I was not in a hurry, so no big deal. But this is below my...
Read moreCame to this Nebraska Culvers a couple days ago, food was great. Came back today a couple days later and got a completely different experience, this is the CHEAPEST Culvers location I’ve been to! All I ordered was a 4 piece Buffalo chicken tender meal and large cheese curds with a medium drink, a pretty simple order. I get my food it’s a medium curd which isn’t much which is the reason I usually get the large instead. so I drive all the way around and wait in that long line again just to get to the speaker and tell them I asked for a large instead of a medium, no biggie you’d think right. I get to the window and She tells me oh you were rung up for a medium cheese curd. that’s actually not my fault the girl at the window didn’t hear me clearly say large. Anyways so she closes the window I’m waiting thinking she’s coming back with the correct size as most restaurants do, no big deal right, she comes back and says to get a large curd you’ll have to pay $5.50 or something like that. When I simply wanted a large cheese curd the girl at the window is basically saying I have to buy the “cheese curds” again just to get a large instead of them just charging me for the difference of what…probably $1.50 or $2 from medium curds to large. After that I just told her nevermind and I left. Out of all the years I went to Culvers this is basically the only mess up that I had experienced and of course it would be at the Nebraska one. Any other location is always perfect service from the employees, just kind of crazy this specific location tried to charge me twice for their own mess up by not listening correctly. I’ll stick to the other...
Read moreWe have come here for a long time and we have always loved the food and the service here. But when we came in on 11/7, the food was horrible. The cod fish, mashed potatoes, and fries was cold. The sweet tea used to be the best here out of all the locations in Tampa, but lately, this place has horrible sweet tea. And on this day it was so bad, I had to spit it out and ask for a refund on our drinks. I complained to the manager on duty, white male by the name of Zach, and he was so unprofessional and told me that the food had been cooked and maybe it was just sitting there but it was cooked. I have never seen someone as unprofessional as this person. He tried to tell us that he could offer us free burgers but not dinners like ordered. I told him that, first of all, we were not asking for free food. What I'm telling you is that the food was cold, it tasted horrible and like I told him, we go here so much that it was strange to us for this to happen, as we love this place. But because of this manager Zach and the unprofessionalism I experienced, we will not be coming to this place again. There is a manager who is a black male with glasses, and unfortunately, I don't know his name, but he's pretty much the manager we see when we come. He is amazing, the employees are on their job with great customer service, the food is amazing and hot like it always it and all I can say, is that if Zach can't manage to do things right as a person and manager, sorry to say this to the owners of Culvers, but your going to end up losing business with...
