Slow unhappy service, dirty inside and out, expensive, overhyped ice-cream. The worst Coldstone I have visited. I used to go regularly and take my family. NO MORE. slow unhappy servers that do not no how to serve and seem at best uninterested service, small portions with high prices, has been consistently dirty inside and out this year ( only two ables outside, always mounds of old ice cream on the, place a few napkins under your container, tonight I watched an older man literally spit on the table and then use his napkin to "clean" his area, his wife seemed to just use her lap, an unacceptable shame). I asked the girls what they thought of their newest flavor, "confetti cupcake" just emailed by Coldstone this week with picture, big sign (4'x4' or 5'x5') hanging in store, only one hanging in store, another in ice-cream window, another big promotion sign by the icecream descriptions, another with the price...everywhere! I ask the girl, she does not seem to be paying attention, ask again, she LOVES it, other girl says it is the best, OK, she starts making mine, very small portion, the boy working must have said something, she went back and got another TABLESPOON, mixed and pushed over the counter, I asked when is the waffle cone with the end dipped in dark chocolate and dipped in sprinkles (could have left that out...buy that is it part of the hype); girl: what? me: where is the cone that comes with this item?girl: what??, me: where is the cone like the one described and in the pictures, girl: where, me: i point to sign, girl: oh, me: isn't that what i ordered? girl: well we only get "so many" of them, me: isn't that cone supposed to come with that item i just paid for?, girl: well, usually, me: isn't it in the picture and described and part of what i just paid for? girl: we get a limited amount and are out? me: shouldn't i have been told that when I asked about it and certainly before I paid for it? girl: we might get more another time...me: amazed!(not in...
Read moreI've bought 2 birthday cakes from the lynchburg store and both times had things wrong with them. This last time I had a manager contact me after I sent in the pictures of my cake. I was told that they couldn't control the color the machine produces. It's as close as possible. The picture in the book wasn't what my cake looked like at all. Mets baseball team is blue and orange. My son's cake was not completely covered in icing. Plus, it was pink and blue. All they said to me is "that I took the cake and I couldn't get a refund." I didn't ask for a refund but some other way to compensate for the loss of money I put to it. Of course I took the cake. My son's party was only a few hours from the time I picked it up. Read moreThis place needs a new manager. We've gone in for the last 3 days trying to get some type of vanilla based ice cream (sweet cream, french vanilla, etc.). They've been out for 3 days, with no inclination of when they'll make it again. I was told it's their most popular base, and they run out all the time, and that it will be refilled when they're not busy and have the time to make more. 1) if it's your most popular base, you make a lot of it, and make it often. Business 101. 2) the last two times we came in to check on it, there was no one in the shop and the employee was on their phone.
