As a "first-timer", I have to say that I did not expect what I got. This was a great visit and a delicious meal. Our server met us at the front and escorted us to our clean dining room and booth seating.
We both love a good salad and we were right next to that portion of the buffet. I made myself a large classic Chef salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot, onion, Turkey, ham, cheddar, egg, crouton). I topped it with their bleu cheese dressing which was clearly homemade (as it should be). It was absolutely fantastic.
I had to restrain myself from the freshly-baked yeast rolls. They were placed at several locations along the buffet course. Clearly, they are hot, light, and buttery.
As for the rest of the meal, I had little room left after the huge salad. I found a few items to tuck into my last available space, though. Funny how we all have a knack for that.
Firstly, I asked the carver for a piece of sirloin, "as rate as possible with plenty of fat". He obliged. I then added a small spoonful of pulled pork and another of mac-n-cheese beside it. There was a baked fish with lemon-butter sauce, so I added a couple small pieces to the mix, sans the rice that it was presented with.
I am not a huge fan of sirloin, but the steak was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. Though the mac-n-cheese seemed prefabricated judging on sight alone, it turned out to be rich with good cheese and very tasty.
The pulled pork had been left too long in the pan when they heated it up that morning. Aside from the resulting occasional dry spot, it was moist, sweet, and tangy. I ate it all, regardless.
The baked fish was NOT over cooked. I do wish it had more of the lemon-butter sauce to enjoy with it. Both were yummy.
After I had eaten these items, I was going to call it quits, but, at a nearby table, there was buzz about the fried chicken. OF COURSE I DID! WoW! Why has no one EVER told me about the fried chicken at Golden Corral?! Absolutely some of the best, if not THE best, fried chicken that I have ever eaten.
I am busy rethinking my abhorration of buffets. I expect there will be many visits forthcoming. Some just to make myself another Chef salad, some to have a full meal, and many to pick up carryout. "I'll bring the chicken" will now be easy to say at future meal planning...

My wife and I decided to go there for dinner Saturday night around 5pm (April 26th.)
Upon getting there just for 2 of us was $44.56 Which isn’t bad in my eyes for a nice meal!
We got our drinks and a very polite and respectful employee named charlotte was super sweet to us.
We both got up and got a plate of food, On my plate was: Pizza (room temperature) Sweet potato’s (cold) Roasted potato’s (ice cold) Hush puppies (room temperature) Beef (cold)
My wife got:
Veggie fried rice (cold) Grilled fish (ice cold) Hush puppies (room temperature) Mac and cheese (hot) (👍🏽) Sweet potato (cold) Pot roast (warm but slimy)
We sat back down at our table and charlotte brought us our drinks! 👍🏽 then it all went south as soon as I took a bite I noticed it was cold and tried one of everything. (Within being sat down for 3 minutes.)
I told charlotte as she seemed surprised we was leaving and she told us to hang on she will grab a manager.
Well here comes the manager and I told him and showed him where he can touch the food on the plate as we wasn’t going to eat it and he said ok and walked off. I then proceeded to leave as I thought that was highly unprofessional, and a complete waste of money.
As walking out I asked the front lady what the manager was called and she told Me it was Charles, due to that whole Experience and us wasting money and no resolution or anything that seemed positive from the manager. I will never waste my money...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I decided to go out on a food date a few weeks ago and came to this location... There were a few things that got me a little bit out of character... I DO NOT like the NEW "SEAT YOURSELF POLICY"... If we were to have a big party of need special request this came totally become a people very quickly not to mention you are doing wrong by your waiters and waitress when ones section is packed and the others section is totally dead that is simply not cool for the workers at all!!! The food selection has got to get better... Now I have seen a lot of soul in the kitchen over my last few visits so with that being said the food should be alot better of a selection than what it is... The menu seemingly hasn't changed over the years it has remained the same for the most part... Try having some different specialty nights for the local community to have something different to look forward to... Dirty dishes are a huge turn off for me and they had a bunch of them... They were good about coming to get they plates after eating off of them but I must admit I picked up several plates where there was still someone's old food crumps still left on the plate from not taking to the dish washer! I loved the staff they try to make the best out of their particular situation but you can definitely tell alot of them are totally unhappy with their jobs and wish they had a respectable company backing them... Instead of a few general management Member speaking down towards them...
