Philippine Delight & More — Restaurant in Lynchburg

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ON DOORDASH. THIS PLACE WILL SCAM YOU!!! I placed my order today and had nothing but trouble trying to get my food. I went through 3 dashers before ultimately canceling. The 1st was told they never received my order from Doordash but they would start working on it now so the dasher passed my order off to another driver because they had to leave. The 2nd driver got there and was told they were out of egg rolls so they passed off the order as well. At this time I received a notification on the app telling me my kebabs were unavailable and were being replaced with egg rolls even though I was just told they were out of egg rolls. The last driver called me while there to say the restaurant was telling him I didn't pay enough so they weren't going to make my food since they didn't receive enough money. THEY SET THE PRICES!!! They also told my other drivers they were preparing my food. These are their agreed upon prices with Doordash but they are trying to scam people and change them after the orders are placed. They told my dasher I needed to give them more money so he told them to their faces they are scam artists and need to update their prices today if they are so-called wrong. I canceled my order and will NEVER again in my life give this ridiculous place my money. SHAME ON...

First time in the Lynchburg Community Market and zig zagged each aisle and it ended with me right in front of this little shopfront which I walked directly into.

Several choices for entrees you can see in the food heating case. I went with white rice and chicken adobo with three lumpia combo and added a Turon (fried plaintain fried in a lumpia wrapper with a sugar glaze). Price was great for every thing as I got a hearty serving of rice and adobo plus everything else for about $12.

Everything was great BUT it was the first time I’d ever had ginger in adobo so that was interesting. I am not a fan of ginger but still found it good but I had to pick out the ginger. Turon could have been less fried as I felt it was overdone but still finished it so they still get a five.

Everyone I interacted with was very kind and friendly, and they were bbq-ing the skewers outside which looked great and I should have gotten some. Maybe next time. Happy with my visit to this place and would try other items if I ever pass...

Authentic Philippine food with recent changes in management. I have eaten at this restaurant for twenty years and just tried the new menu. The overall taste is the same and the hours are still 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. The serving size is reduced and isn’t bad, just different. I haven’t decided if I will continue to frequent this establishment. The location is in the community market and there will be enough local traffic to keep busy. The food handling was good and the chicken curry was rated highly by the person grilling. No prices were listed on the menu as they were updating the selections and prices.
