You know it’s too good to be true when the overall rating is a 5.0 My friend and I got here around 6:30 on a Sunday and we were the only 2 in the restaurant. We got menus and no one came to take our order. While we waited, we got up and grabbed beverages for ourselves from the fridge that was in the dining area. We didn’t get glasses of water, napkins, plates or utensils. Finally our server comes over. She was not at all personable. She didn’t say a word- just looked at us and waited for us to tell her what we wanted. She didn’t seem to know the menu well because she needed me to point at the items I ordered. Nigiri sushi and a small house salad- seemed to be foreign to her. We got 2 pieces of a roll ‘on the house’ and she served us the plate alone- mind you, we still haven’t gotten plates or chopsticks. Just as she was walking away, I politely asked for chopsticks and napkins. We made eye contact and she nodded so I know she heard me. She walked over to the sushi bar and I could physically see her on her headphones talking on her cellphone behind the counter. We waited about a min and I said aloud- ‘excuse me, can we please get utensils’? She looked at me and said ‘oh yeah, sure.’ And proceeded to take her time finishing her call before she came over. I am normally a patient person, but I’m sure as you read this, you can see my patience was slowly running out, especially because we were the ONLY table in the restaurant. She finally came over with chopsticks, 1 single plate, and 1 soy sauce dish- mind you, there are 2 of us that ordered sushi. She walks into the kitchen and I look at my friend…she didn’t bring soy sauce. I got up and asked a gentleman behind the counter and he immediately grabbed it from the fridge that we got our drinks from earlier. The food was good, fish seemed fresh, but the service was absolutely terrible. We will not be returning. This place may have decent food but it will not survive without good...
Read moreI wish I had read the other person's review of this place before coming in, cause they were right. I was looking for some good hibachi in my area and this one had 4.7 stars. I expected the type of hibachi where they cook it in front of you but I guess this was not that type of place, but I at least expected the food to be good. It was hardly decent at best. Unfortunately the service did nothing to help that. No one greeted us at the door or guided us to a table even though it was empty. You could not even expect the most basic service from their "waitress" like a glass of water or proper utensils. She gave us each a fork and when I asked for a knife, she only gave me one and not my girlfriend. I was like huh?? Hibachi is supposed to come with a soup and a salad, but only my girlfriend got soup, and it was not even close to hot. I didn't bother complaining because it would've spoiled my mood even further. And normally, hibachi comes with fried rice, but I guess it was too much for this place (with hibachi in their name) so the best they could do is steamed white rice. I'm really surprised this place got as high a rating as it has, unless it's the sushi that's really good and...
Read moreMy chicken teriyaki was pretty good, I ordered there having seen the menu on their site, and was excited over the fact that it was supposed to come with the miso soup as i usually get it as an add on at other places, but when I got my food and I saw she didn’t give me a miso soup with my order I went back to ask for it thinking maybe it was a mistake but the girl at the front (who I will say was nice) just told me that they usually only give it for patrons who dine in but it was just a bit upsetting to me given the $17 dollar price tag factoring in that the miso soup itself cost $3.95 by itself and thinking of the fact that it’s listed as one of the items you get when ordering the chicken teriyaki on pickup/ delivery apps it states that it comes with miso soup I was just a bit disappointed to not have received it as I felt like since it was in the description I expected to receive it sorry for rambling I just wish I would’ve received what was in...
