Great service. Great food. Thank you, Tanika, for being our waitress.
My husband and I usually go to the one in Marianna or the one out in Callaway because this one is usually slammed by the time we are able to get out for our date night.
There are little tvs at each booth. I'm not sure if the customers can change the channel or not.
Today, I had a marriage ceremony in town, and my mom was with me. She is in a wheelchair. Anyways, most restaurants are still not equipped for the use of a wheelchair in their establishments. Another reason we go to specific locations when dining out with my mom.
I wanted to say that AN EMPLOYEE was kind and held the door open when they saw my mom and I coming to the door, VERY VERY NICE, THANK YOU!!! Then, when we walked in, it was about 4 pm. It really was not busy at all. We could have had the pick of any table in there.
However, this particular Beef Obrady's barely has room for people walking by the tables, let alone trying to fit a wheelchair in there somewhere. We ended up with what I wanted to say was the BEST BOOTH IN THE HOUSE☺️
My mom could not get into a normal booth, and if she were to sit down, she could not get back out. The booth we sat in was right next to the door, and it had a side that was diagnol. This was amazing because we were able to scoot her wheelchair up to it, and she was comfortable and didn't feel like she was in the way. This is very important with people with disabilities. They do not want to be in the way. They don't want to feel like they are a burden.
All the staff members that came and checked on us and answered questions were very pleasant! Our waitress was Tamika, per the receipt.
Tanika allowed my mom and I to order prior to my husband getting there to join us for dinner. This was really nice. The food was just arriving as he walked in the door.
My mom and I love our zucchini and asked for it to be cooked soft. We got it. It was barely cooked. Tanika went and had them recook some new zucchini, and it turned out beautifully, thank you.
The wings were perfect, the fried mushrooms were grandolious, and the fried fish perfect! Now, the meatball appatizer, I would say, shocked my husband, mom, and I because they were bigger than a golf ball, and the flavor was amazing!!!!
Our sodas were on the spot and were offered, without asking, a to-go cup. Tanika didn't just bring the cup like most the paces do. She brought it filled with our sodas. The lids actually fit the cups, so there is no leakage! I can not believe how many local establishments have cups and lids that do not fit. Thank you for having them properly fit.
We did not use the restroom because that's when it would have made my mother uncomfortable. By the time our dinner was done, the restaurant was filling up. No vacant tables. No way my moms wheelchair would have made it to the restroom.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience! My mother loved the service and food. She said the fish tasted better than at other locations, lol.
Hopefully, we can get that both again the next time. Otherwise, we may not get to enjoy your establishment.
Thank you for the great service and food! We will be back.
Can you reserve a space before arrival in situations like...
Read moreUPDATEUPDATEUPDATEUPDATE* I am impressed with the owner! While I made no effort to contact him after his post asking me to get in touch, he went beyond my personal expectations. First, he took the time to comment on my review. Most owners don't respond whether a positive or negative review. This shows the public's written word is influential for business. Second, he took time, based only on my review, and found my ticket and refunded our meal...without me knowing until I balanced my account. I must say, THAT was completely unexpected.
With that being said, I change this review rating from a ☆ to a ☆☆☆.
His efforts and actions raised this review 2 solid stars. Hopefully, he will take his business method back to his employees. It missed stars still because of the inedibleness of the shrimp, the action of the waitress, and the prices being higher than we expected before going. We were longtime patrons mainly because I love their traditional wings. I knew prices had been increasing there and everywhere. I may return for some delicious wings again, but I will definitely call ahead for pricing. I will recommend this place to friends and family with the additional information of: 1) the prices may be a bit high and 2) the owner is fair and open to hear about problems. Waitstaff come and go, so maybe the stars aligned poorly for us that night.
We often would come for wings and the Waterson. It has been a while since I had been back but my husband occasionally would eat here with a friend. Wow! How the price of wings has escalated!!! Well over a dollar per wing is pricey and the sauce on them is minimal now. Some had no sauce at all. we ordered the Boom Boom shrimp again (I had them when they first came out in the restaurant). They were horribly past freshness for the shrimp and had gone bad. Neither of us could eat that shrimp and we asked if the waitress could take it off the bill. She said, "Yeah, sure I can," and took back the check. Unfortunately, she did NOT take it off but gave a discount of $7. We left 8 shrimp on that dish! So, Beef O'Brady's, you lost us as customers. We had some great times...
Read moreWe tried this late on a Friday on a recommendation by a friend. Sat down at 8pm and while I have no frame of reference having never been here before, but it was crowded. That I can understand may have contributed so some, but not all of what we experience.
Ordered the Friday fish & chips special, the pulled pork/mac&cheese burger with onion rings and 6 "firecracker" wings. We sat down at 8pm. I don't know when our server arrived but it took a bit. It took longer to get our food (9pm). I thought the wings were in the wrong sauce because it was terriaki but when the server returned she said that was correct, never asked me if I wanted another flavor, just left. I ate half a one, it was big and rubbery even though I requested crispy. I couldn't handle them.
The burger was 'okay', nothing I'd return to get it was just 'okay'. The side of onion rings I paid extra for were overfried and hard. The Mrs' fish & chips was a joke. Frozen fish out of a box, it was still very pale white in color and the center of the fish was still cold. She never even took a bite of it. The server came by and took it back to the kichen, we didn't want another and it is very very VERY unlike us to refuse a dish. The manager came by and apologized. They took the fish off the check but left the charge for the extra tartar sauce (fitting based on our experience).
We won't be back. I don't get all the...
