I won several low value items at a local auction and needed them shipped to the Midwest. The items were fragile packed and put in two huge 24 inch boxes. The items were double/triple wrapped in bubble paper and mummified in tape. Too much tape actually makes it very difficult to acess the item and in some instances can damage it. Vulnerable spots on a couple of items were not addressed. Boxed items were bubble wrapped needlessly. Massive bubble wrapped balls mummified in tape suppodedly necessitated two boxes ...very costly.....since the items were very low cost items..Hallmark ornaments. Ceramic Fitz and Floyd items and some Depot 56 things cost 300 dollars to ship. Wished that some common sense would have been used.....paid over 300 dollars for items that cost me 284 dollars.
I have shipped about 250 items on EBAY and I have received several hundred shipped items from all over the nation and internationally...this was one of the worst Cases of overkill on "fragile packing" that was done poorly...which is actually possible....I have used UPS stores in the past..I know they can be pricey but this experience was ridiculous. I just wanted a common sense approach to packing such items..or at least the courtesy of some consultation before packing these items....I will not use these shippers again and I may never bother looking at the auction house again since they...
Read moreYesterday, I arrived at the UPS Store @ 4:55 pm , four people ahead of me ...By 5:15 pm still in line with 6 to 8 customers behind me (some customers leaving) with "one" employee working at the store.....When I got waited on, I knew the employee could not accomplish what I needed done due to the "volume" of customers and lack of employees....I did not get upset with that employee and thought she did an outstanding job being professional and how she took care of her customers before me. Matter a fact I called her manager and told the manager to give her a pat on the back for handling the situation.... This employee shouldn't have put in this position if "proper planning " of scheduling was done..... People work from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on a daily basis please schedule properly so customers can expect to be waited on a timely...
Read moreThis UPS Store causes me no end of issues. I bring a package with a "wrong label", they wanna charge $30 for a reprint when I can fix it myself for 10€. I mail a bubble mailer with stamps on it one day, I come back to mail another and they turn it down for an obvious coorporate-mandate before trying to charge $22 for a first-class label when I can legit go home and fix it myself for the price of a single breath of air. I call to ask a question, they hang up on me while I'm mid-sentence and ignore my subsequent calls for the next hour.
The only saving grace for this store is one of the morning crews. A tall, older blonde and a shorter lady. I forgot their names but they were awesome. Everyone else? 👎
I would stop going here if it wasn't for the fact they're the only postal service that accommodates my...
