A nice Korean tofu soup restaurant located inside of the G-Mart mall. If I had to choose between the tofu soup restaurant in G-Mart or H-Mart, I would choose the one here in G-Mart because the stone rice bowl is something that most Korean restaurants just don't do! It's experience you just can't find anywhere else really. You have to come here before 7:30pm or else they stop doing the stone rice bowl though.
Food The tofu soup here is pretty good! Can't go wrong with beef or dumpling if you aren't sure what to get. I like seeing that it comes out bubbling cause I know it'll warm me up on a cold winter day. The soup is not super salty either. I love this place for tofu soup because it's one of the few places that I've seen in the Seattle area that do the stone rice bowl.
Atmosphere Very casual and a spot that I would just come to quickly eat or get take out. Not the fanciest spot since it’s in a grocery store. Tables are shared with the other restaurants in the grocery store.
Pricing The prices for the tofu soup are average compared to other tofu soups prices. If anything, this place has more value because of the stone rice bowl.
Service Service was okay. They brought the food out to the table we were sitting at. They also clear the tables for you.
Other Plenty of parking in front of the grocery store. The restaurants are on the side of the...
Read moreThe best hole in the wall restaurant for tofu soup. It's hidden in the G Mart so it was kinda difficult finding it but to the left on the market is a little food court area with Korean restaurants. It wasn't too busy in the afternoon and we were seated quickly.
They have lunch deals and combos along with their signature tofu soups. It's a great deal considering that most Korean restaurants charge a little more but I was really satisfied and full. The side dishes included with any entree. I was surprised at how flavorful the tofu soup was. I got the combo tofu soup with beef and seafood with mild spicy which comes with the purple rice. It was a very hearty. It warmed me up on a cold, rainy day.
Before the pandemic I would’ve give. this restaurant 5 stars but since coming back here, the prices have gone up by $4 for the tofu soup and the quality and amount of side dishes you get have gone down. Regardless, I still keep coming here for...
Read moreI have gone to the Bellevue location and it’s great!
This location is in a grocery store, which is fine. It’s not the cleanest on the floors and such, but my biggest issue was the long wait for food , and then waitress gave me the wrong food and then said try it see if you like it. I said no, I didn’t want shrimp, I wanted the beef I had orders and she insisted I try it. I said no again and she took it away with an apology. My husband was given the wrong food also and told “it’s more expensive” he kept it as it was close enough to his order. The order given to us was a nearby table and it seems like she tried to give them the wrong food anyway. The table next to us also sent back an incorrect bowl.
Food tasted fine, but we were really hungry, cold (grocery store was cold, and frustrated so my read could be off. But the soft tofu soup seems to me a little to tomato...
