Starbucks — Restaurant in Macedonia

A good place to work if you're not handicapped and depend on a Lyft for rides back and forth to work. They will close at random times not giving the employees any acknowledgment to the fact that they are closing early so you end up wasting $40 worth of money to go in and not even get two hours in. We're drilled in our head to treat the customer with empathy but I guess that doesn't go for employees. I turned down Dunkin for this under staffed place to not even get two days straight of work fully underneath my belt. You have to be on time or else they'll write you up. I'm trying to be on time but there's a train right in the way of the drive to work got wrote up for clocking in a minute late. I shouldn't have to call my job in tears because I ran out of money to get a Lyft because I showed up twice to work afraid of getting written up early to only be told that they're closing early and yet couldn't take the time to call an employee and tell them not to come in because we're closing early. How about instead of writing up people for clocking in a minute late you focus on making sure you're employees are happy. So then you won't have such bad turn over and have a full staff so then having to close early. So many call offs I had to call off for two shifts because my bank account was drained from Lyft rides. I lost money coming in and only clocking in for an hour and I'm also losing hours because I can't make it in or they are closing early and no one gives me a call to let me know. I'm handicapped I can do stuff I thought myself how to walk twice in my, got a full spinal fusion I have 2 rods and 26 pins in my back plus I was diagnosed with SPS, I want to do my job and that's make coffee not clean up and have to kick people out the dining area. They keep forcing us to write on cups I don't have a problem with it but I do when I'm handing out food and I see the cup isn't even full. I feel like crap and I'm apologizing at the window to customers when I didn't even make the drink.

UPDATE: I just had to leave the job because the store failed to tell me about some card that gets delivered to the store that I need to activate to get paid. The store lost it. Told me I couldn't call off due to low funds I wouldn't have low funds if you would've told me about this card situation then I could've happily kept getting my Lyft there what would you like me to do lie or tell the truth I don't have funds because you never told me about some card that I needed to get paid. I'm going to Dunkin where they stay open until the time they're supposed to they might pay less but atleast they understand a person situation. I'm just a broke girl who has multiple handicappeds on SSI trying to become a member of society and not rely on the government for a check. Can't drive due to the fact that I have Seizures so that's why I use Lyft it's not like I never wanted to learn how to drive just like how I didn't ask to be born with Stiff Person Syndrome. But my god if you apply to Starbucks you better believe they will make you think everything is your fault.

If you have a nut allergy don't order from Starbucks they use the same tongs to pick up every piece of food yeah the products state the allergies but they don't use different tools to handle them with. So if you order a warm cheese danish there's probably all types of other food that's been handled with it from meat to tree nuts to eggs to cheese. Go to Dunkin they use separate utensils for every food product wear gloves and the tools they use to make your drinks aren't just rinsed off in a sink for 3 seconds. Oh FLYS EVERYWHERE. On your food etc. My last day here today a fly went into a woman's bag that had her food in it waiting for her to pick up in the mobile order inside area. IF YOU LIKE THEIR OVERPRICED DESERT YOU CAN BUY THEM AT WALMART.

I don’t usually frequent this location, but my experiences were always pleasant, until today. It was one thing that I waited 30 minutes for my order, which I placed on the app and it was only one food item. I can understand that the staff are very busy, it is early morning and everyone wants their caffeine and breakfast before work. But I watched 2 people leave with only part of their order (that was already paid for, mind you) because they had to wait so long and they were running late to work. I was having conversations with them and it was clear they had no help from staff. I spoke to another girl who was very close to leaving with only her drink and no food, but thankfully she got hers. I attempted to get the attention of staff to ask about my order several times. They either ignored me, or looked at me like I had snakes coming out of my head for just kindly asking if my food would be ready soon. One staff member spoke to me in a very rude tone, had a nasty attitude, and looked very inconvenienced by my presence. Thankfully, after nearly 40 minutes, I got my sandwich, which of course was just thrown together lazily, to make matters worse. Don’t waste your time and money here. Just go to the Brecksville location, they treat their customers with respect and have excellent and fast service. Sadly, this Starbucks is always closed when I try to stop there. They put a cone in front of the menu board and tape a sheet of paper with their hours on it, which are extremely limited and constantly changing. One time I went after work around 5pm and the sign said open from 7am to 3pm. So, I go back a week or two later at 730am and they are closed with a sign saying 9am to 9pm. So I stop in the evening next time, around 6pm and it says open from 10am to 5pm. Just returned from another attempt because Google search said open until 9pm. At 8pm it was closed. I didn't bother to pull around to the menu board to see what the hours will be for the next few days. I give up! EDIT: Decided to give them one more try yesterday (01-04-2022) at 12:15 pm. There was a sign in front of the door saying "Drive-thru only" which was fine as that was my plan anyway. I noticed the guy in front of me sat at the menu board for a long time before pulling around and I never heard him place an order. When it was my turn, I waited and waited but nobody came on the speaker. I pulled around and there didn't appear to be anyone inside? By this time there were literally 8 to 10 cars behind me.
