Greeted by the manager as soon as we walked in. Very nice gentleman. Server we had was terrible. The whole experience was terrible. During ordering our food the waiteress pulled out her phone and was looking/texting on it. My husband ordered a porterhouse steak (they were out of prime rib) and ordered it medium. It was brought out raw. The food runner came back and checked our steak while the server was sitting at a table all over a guy. The runner took the plate back with the steak and it was then brought back out still raw with no sides on the plate anymore. The manager then came back over and asked if everything was alright and we explained the above where he then took the steak off because my husband then didn't want the food after it twice needing recooked. The waiteress dropped the check on the table, we laid cash on it and she came back and said thanks have a good day. There was 1 dollar and some change extra, she didn't ask if we wanted our change, (we planned to tip her but leave it on the table and wanted the single for part of her tip). She took our money and receipt over to the guy she was hanging all over and said they didn't even tip me. The manager walked out the back and she walked over and said they didn't tip me where he then gave our money back. The manager was kind and understanding, trying to do his best in this situation. As we walked out the server said I knew that was going to happen. We are generous tippers when servers are doing their job and attentive to us. We understand that servers need tips to make a living, but you can't and don't get paid if you don't do your job at any place of work.
Note: during our visit one of the workers from the back went and laid down on the booth besides us where him and the server were talking about how she was trashed last night.
Overall not a good visit. Not very professional and the server shouldn't still have...
Read moreStaff was fine. Waitress was nice. Manager was fine. My porterhouse was blah... Way overcooked but also tasted like it was cooked on low temp in an oven or something. No sear or fire flavor, had a chalky taste on the first bite. Almost like it was boiled. Just not good. Tried about 5 bites and decided to send it back. Did not want a replacement. I don't generally trust restaurants for that and also don't want to make my party wait and end up just watching me eat at the end... My girlfriend ordered grilled salmon but wanted the sauce on the side and also with the sauce from the other salmon entrie that she was debating between on the side. Supposed to be 1 grilled salmon entree, 2 different sauces on the side... Didn't happen. The plate came out swimming in whatever Cajun sauce that was supposed to be on the side. The male that delivered the food even spilled some on my leg and the floor in front of our table. That's how much sauce there was...Lots of sauce. Basically a soup with a piece of salmon on top. They brought us out the other sauce after we mentioned the issue but it wasn't really edible the way it was. My mother got lobster tail and a filet, she said hers was great. Also, the bloomin onion was good as was all of our asparagus and my wedge salad. The place was not busy... Not at all. On a Friday night. I don't think we will ever go back. The quality of everything was just way off. The bill even after they removed my entree and my girlfriend's was sill like 77$. I'm fine with the 150$ meal for 3 people that it would have been but for what we got the 77$ was definitely...
Read moreI’ve never had a bad experience at the Macedonia Outback until now, but yesterday’s curbside to-go order was incredibly disappointing.
My pickup time was between 4:18–4:23 PM. I arrived around 4:08 and pulled into a curbside space. A curbside employee came out to my car—I rolled down my window, and she just stared at me without saying a word. I had to initiate the conversation by saying I had a curbside order and giving my name. She walked away without another word.
By 4:23, my order still wasn’t ready. I waited 10 more minutes, received no update or text (even though the app marked the order as “complete”), so I went to the curbside door. No one was there. After a few more minutes, the same employee came out and said, “We have your wings, but nothing else,” and walked away again. When I asked if there was an updated time, she just shrugged, said “I don’t know,” and walked away. I asked her, “That’s it? Just ‘I don’t know’?” and she said nothing in response.
I had to go inside the restaurant to speak with a manager, who kindly checked and brought out the full order. I had already tipped online, but due to the poor service and lack of basic communication or courtesy, I asked to reverse the tip—which the manager accommodated.
When I got home, I realized they forgot the fries, too.
This was a frustrating experience from start to finish. Poor communication, no follow-through, missing items, and a complete lack of professionalism from the curbside staff. I usually enjoy Outback, but this made me hesitant to return...
