I want to start off by saying I have NEVER wrote a bad review in my life let alone write reviews. Sunday June 8th, around 12pm ish a woman with long white hair which appeared to be the “manager” was being beyond rude. Incredibly rude to her staff, and customers. I was actually appalled with her tone, attitude, and disrespect for people. I can not believe she’s in the position she’s in. A older man was trying to simply ask her carry out options and she kept cutting him off and raising her voice saying “there’s a 35 minute wait” and he’d replied with “ma’am I understand I just want to understand the carryout options” very politely and very respectful. She kept cutting him off and making him seem stupid. So much so everyone waiting and eating by the front counter turned to look with half of us with our mouths opened in utter shocked. The servers were beyond sweet and food was delicious. The way I heard her talking to the kitchen staff as if they were “dumb” and servers was just very sad. My boyfriend and I were waiting on the bench before we got sat. She had walked away for a second and my boyfriend said to me “oh maybe we should stand up because we were here first” then she came back into the main room and said “OH I SAW YOU I SAW YOU” which made me and my boyfriend look at eachother confused. Then took us to our table and almost slammed our menus on the table. Genuinely so surprised about this behavior. Like I said, food was great and the servers were so so so nice. I feel bad for how she was talking to them and...
Read moreI was in town because I was dropping off my son at Hiram College. He wanted Cane's, I was chickened out, so I decided on IHOP. Long story short, my order was taken by the kind waitress. She said give it fifteen minutes. I sat there for fifteen minutes and the waitress says, it's almost done, and hands me my receipt. The manager, a black man, I didn't get his name, comes and says, "I'll cash you out." I say, "I'll pay when my food comes out." He says, "I have to take your payment immediately on take out orders." So just to clarify, I say, " I can't wait to see my food before I pay for it?" He says, "Not on to go orders." He said it was company policy but I eat at IHOPs all over the country and I've always paid after the food comes out of the kitchen. (I might just call corporate to check on that policy.) I asked, "Well, why didn't the waitress ask for payment when she took my order?" He said I have know idea. ( I bet I do.) He kept saying if it's not right I'll have them make it again. Sounds like low confidence in the cooks. I had already been there for at least eighteen minutes. So people who are seated can have their food brought out and they can see their food but because I ask for mines to go, I can't? Where else do customers buy something and not see it first? Maybe online, understandably. Needless to say, I politely left the receipt and left the food. Please try insulting someone else's...
Read moreSingle handedly the worst customer service experience i have ever received. I had ordered a French toast breakfast from the current promo deals, stating clearly the sausage choice and how to prepare the eggs ordered for my daughter, at no point mentioning wanting the kids selection, which did not include an egg. When the food was brought out, there was fruit, no eggs, and the French toast was cut into strips. I immediately stated that my daughter was missing her eggs, to which our server responded that she had rung her up for the kids meal. Seeing no harm done, and that my daughter just needed the eggs, I replied that she just needed the side of eggs. To this, I was told that it “hadn’t been clearly communicated that I didn’t want the kids meal” that was inadvertently rung in. Instead of just bringing the side of eggs separately, the French toast had to be brought back when already set in front of my daughter, who had seen the food.
I was clear in what I ordered for my daughter, it was a simple fix of just needing to get a side of eggs with her breakfast, but instead was told “that wasn’t communicated clearly.” Horrible horrible service of our server, I do not expect to come back for their overpriced breakfast anytime soon. Save yourself the trouble and head to Luna’s down the...
