Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Macon

I recently visited the Zaxbys on Presidential Pkwy and ordered a five piece wing , and a cobb salad. The wings were good but the chicken on the cobb salad was not blackened as I requested. The chicken on the salad was also cold. I did not notice this until after I had pulled away and by already waiting twenty minuet's to get my order and being that I was driving a tractor trailer it would have taken too much time to turn around to go back to make the order right . I did stop by the store the following day to explain my situation to the manager were he explained to me that it was store policy that I had to bring the food or there was nothing he could do. I then explained that I did have the food and the receipt but it was all the way across town. I asked to see the policy and the store manager then explained to me how they were like walmart and there policy's were the same. I then asked him again to show the policy and he said that it was not something he could show , just something that the managers had been told. I then asked for a district managers number and the manager gave me a number to a Zaxbys help line were I explained to a customer service person the ordeal that I had experienced. . Slow, Slower, Slowest. Sunday evening at around 8pm on 3/8/2020. After 38 minutes in the drive thru to get to the window we see why, the 2 very polite young ladies, yes they had great please, thank you and yes sir manners but were more interested in their cell phones after taking my payment than looking up and getting our simple order gathered up. Drinks were mixed up and lined up in the drive thru window. Drinks were made by dragging the cup bare handed thru the ice bin even with an ice scoop in plain site hanging on the front right corner of the ice bin. Guess their score reflected that. Saw completed food orders sitting on the counter for the full additional 10 minutes at the window while they were leaned over playing on the cell phone and when they were done with the phone they pulled our 2 trays that had been sitting there and put them in a bag and handed them out. The time they sat there was enough time to make the once crispy fries and bread soft from the steam. Wonder where management was, probably in the back hustling to catch up from all the playing around the staff was doing. This seems to be the norm now, visible cell phone usage and invisible management. I understand it's cooked fresh but 45+ minutes is a bit outrageous. Definitely made my last trip to...

Ok, I write this with a side of caution. I can be rather picky when it comes to food. However, if I'm being charged $14 for 3 chicken tenders, they better be some good chicken tenders!

What I got barely qualified as tenders. We're talking small strips of chicken that had less meat on them than a boneless chicken "wing" served at Applebees. You can't be serious. Wayyy overpriced chicken. I also tried their egg rolls. A little weird, egg rolls at a chicken place, but ok. But what I don't understand? You're a chicken place. Why are you doing veggie egg rolls? Why not chicken egg rolls? That's what would make more sense. Vegetarians aren't coming to your restaurant, don't worry about them.

The egg rolls were pretty good though. I'll give them that. The soda machine was out of ice. I should have just went to waffle house. Now the seating was unexpected. The seating felt like it was premium seating throughout the restaurant. I was impressed at how comfortable the seating was!

Not good, but not bad.
