Starting again. I am Jesus, a Venezuelan guy. I only have 1 year here in US. Today I got Fired from the place I thought was my God's bless. SLYCE PIZZA Madeira Beach! I was scheduled to work today at 10:30 am and I couldn't be on time because a very important appoinment I had. Yesterday I took care of table 13. (6 people) they had a big order. They ordered pretzels as well..they asked me if they could get more pretzels without the cheese because they had a lot cheese. I said sure, let me ask please. I went to the kitchen and asked a guy. Maybe because of my bad english he didn't understand. So they made the pretzels but the costumers decided dont get them because of the price. 2 usd each pretzel.. Crazy!!!!!! ... they told me we have publix here beside. We can get a bag of pretzels for 2.99! They were very fríenfly and polite. I felt bad and i offered them some chips while they wait for their meals. This was a Hug, faltal mistake I made. The company will get broken if you offer free chips to one table! What is more important?? Let the clients leave happy , (they will come back for sure!) Or Let them leave with a bad impression? I paíd for the pretzels because Im a very honest , Christian guy. It was my mistake. Now im here sitting , thinking where to go, what to do? Let's start again Jose! I live in my car. I am totally alone in this country. Different cultures.. what difficult is! Im in a capitalist country. Here everything is about money, business. I need to learn that JOSE, PLEASE..... PLEASE .....Doesn't matter how well you do. After a mistake you dont worth nothing........ after the owner or manager (MARGOT) told me you are fired. It is too much. Today you came late to work, yesterday the pretzels (they thought, maybe, i was stealing pretzels) I felt totally lost. I didn't expect this. I stayed outside the building thinking. Wondering what will happen to me? This lady (Margot) came out to told me GET OUT here, leave the building right now if you dont wanna me to call the POLICE! I felt like a criminal. I feel devasted. Sad, lost. Of course I met nice people in the restaurant. I always remember Mr. Ricky. What polite and fríendly guy. His wife beautiful excellent. Mrs Suzanne, beautiful, polite, friendly, I just saw her one or two times. Mr Tyler excellent as well.. I started working in Slyce pizza at indian rocks. Thanks Mr. Ricky....... that place is busier , you can make a little more money but there you can find the rudest people in the world. I always wondered how this guy Bobby can be a manager? He is rude, despot. I dont know if his belly is so heavy that he can't move his mouth. he Never say thanks, please, nothing. Rude. Horrible. Yesterday at slyce in madeira beach i was taking care of table 33. An argentinan couple because they didn't speak english. In one point they finished their pizza , we were talking about the PEAR A DICE because I recommended that one. They said delicious. I said I told you, so we started a conversation, suddenly appeared the color (black) manager with his dog face, taking the plates and mumbling like "why I have to do this? Im manager.. you are the slave! The couple felt bad and embarrased.. they told me we are sorry Jose. I said: ohhhh no no. He is just joking. Of course I felt horrible as well.
Things happen for a reason. I am sure God has something better to me. I really believe that.
The pizzas at slyce are the best. Honestly. Try the PEAR A DICE ...... WONDERFUL. My Favorite. With a little sweat and mucus.😆
They have a very good hygiene.. (sometimes) i saw guys touching their nose while they were cooking. Cleaning their forehead of sweat and after that touching food. It's true. I can tell that because I worked there.
Thanks all the hostes , runner. They were very kind and fríendly. Thanks the mexican people who works in the kitchen. Thanks a lot
IM NOT UPSET, JUST SAD.
BLESSINGS FOR EVERY BODY WHO READ THIS COMMENT 🙃🙏 I JUST...
Read moreWe initially were so excited to finally see Slyce open since they advertised opening since last summer (2016). Tried to get reservations for our daughters birthday dinner on a Friday night, but the restaurant was not taking reservations yet. So, we decided to try take out on another night. First, the good points were they were punctual with the time frame of getting our order ready when they said and efficient with checking out at the take out window in the back, getting their in the time frame they said. But...the low points were that our pizza was only luke warm to cold when we got it home (only a 2 minute drive home), the food was very bland and just mediocre in taste and in my opinion expensive for the quality of food. We ordered a 16 inch white pizza with added grilled chicken. Their base price white pizza is $19.00 and adding a small amount of chicken was an additional $4. I expected to have a nice garlic flavor but it did not nor was there enough fresh oregano to give it any flavor. It basically tasted like dough with melted cheese on it. The house salad would have been a nice combination of flavors but the lettuce was almost all white stalks from the base of the lettuce some slightly with brown edges. I think I counted 2 green spinach leaves. The calzone we ordered cost almost $16.00 with 2 added items, bacon and pepperoni. The meatball sub was decent but soggy for $10.00. Overall, the location is perfect, but the food was way too over priced for the taste and quality. As a Madeira Beach local, I was very disappointed and hope that the tourists sustain your business or maybe you will read your reviews and adjust...
Read moreHi,My Daughter had been wanting to go to do a family dinner,So we decided on Wednesday September 29th @7:00,She would meet her father and I there,We all had heard good things about slyce, there food and service.WELL let me tell you it was lacking ALL,I contribute my review so owners/operaters of businesses knows what needs improvement! I will start with walked in no one in site(us never being there) Was confused on wait on a hostess or seat yourself after standing there almost 5mins with not even a hi or someone will be with you shortly.Oh and there was a couple on patio,a family of 6 a few tables over and then this is where it goes bad there was 4 people sitting at the bar and was so drunk obnoxious and Extremely Loud to the point could not even talk to my daughter about what to order off the menu. By now let me remind you 20 mins in still not waitress or anyone has greeted us. We didnt even have a drink yet! Anyways after the bartender (older lady, platinum blonde hair ,finally came out from around the bar screaming across the restaurant to the 4 very drunken patrons.Ive been in the hospitality business for years, theres a time to tell your customers they have had enough! Your bartender unfortunately had let them go a little to long,After 30 mins...No drinks,no hello just sat at a table with a wet menu, adsurd drunken mess at the bar,we got up and walked out.It was a huge let down. We was really looking forward to it especially the wedge salad.Im honestly not sure I would return or...
