Madeira Beach Patriot Park — Attraction in Madeira Beach

I will not be back ever! So a local sheriff, pulled up through the park with his vehicle, accused me of sleeping in a park where he says there is a city ordinance saying no sleeping in a park?! I was tanning partially under a tree, two liters of water, laying down after doing some yoga and stretching, ya know just taking a daytime nap, you're not really asleep but resting everything, when he continued to say things like hey just be happy I'm not giving you a ticket for sleeping in the park, and I was like that's a subjective law when it comes to laying out to tan, he says I was sleeping and was warned, Identification taken, then what really creeped me out, he took my photo secretly on his cell phone, saying it's so he can identify me better next time? Needless to say I will not be back! That is really creepy! I hope this isn't how all local sheriff treat people enjoying public parks...

I found this park on accident! I love taking pictures of boats and happened to see some as I drove by. I decided to stop. Not only did I find a beautiful park to relax at and take pictures but to my surprise there is an area that is dedicated to 9-11. At the park it has gazebos, benches that are in shaded areas so you can enjoy the view on those hot FL. days or nights. There is an area that I believe you can fish from. I did not see signs that said you cannot. The park does have a restroom. A bike rack if you need to rest or explore the area. The sidewalks are very well paved so if you have a scooter, walker or wheelchair, you can enjoy the park too. I will definitely be going back. It was...
