Madeira Beach Marina — Attraction in Madeira Beach

This was my first time leaving my boat in a saltwater slip (a whole week at that) & I was terrified to be completely honest, but the staff is super nice and very helpful! I came back one day for fuel and they were fast to help us tie up, fuel up and get us back on the water…it was awesome! We happened to be two slips over from a very nice couple who were staying on their boat and the gentleman saved me (& my boat) from the shifting tides with pointers on how to tie up. The location is gated so I felt my boat/electronics were completely safe. I gave into my OCD-ness with a couple late night visits “just to check on the boat” & everything was perfectly fine. I even saw the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office pull up one night, which I understand is frequent for them. All that is good on the water is easily accessible & near by (Johns Pass, the sandbars, waterfront dining options..etc) The only negative for me was the ramp. I wasn't a fan of how narrow it was. There is a floating dock right next to it. The day I arrived a very intelligent boater docked his boat there (motor facing the ramp) which narrowed the ramp even more. As a female boater, Im already a nervous wreck backing the boat in (sometimes alone) so needless to say, I used another local (much wider) ramp to load up. If you are a pro at loading and backing in, you would be fine, though:) Even with the ramp, I will 100% return here when we come back...

We ended up at the Madeira Marina in distress. Immediately, when the staff saw us being towed by Boat. The owner’s, management, and staff went above and beyond upon arrival to assist us. Furthermore, the entirety of the facility was immaculate! From the front door to the dock. The bathrooms were pristine as well. They had a beautiful deck to rest your legs while the courteous staff tends to your boats needs. We will certainly make this our go to marina for fuel, water, beverages, bait, and tackle. Had an excellent experience today at Madeira Beach Marina! Was out on the boat today and had battery trouble. They were open on Sunday, had a battery in stock, and, had a couple guys who helped diagnose the situation. I limped in with no electronics, and powered out 30 minutes later ready to join our friends. And... the battery was reasonably priced at $160. A place on the water that has a battery you need (on a Sunday), can charge a fortune and get away with it. Not these guys. I left there feeling great about my purchase, and not like I was robbed.
