I never knew this park was in my area. I found out from a tourist. Lol! I am so glad I was told, because it was such a humbling experience. ROC stands for Remember our Children. This park is dedicated to children whom have lost their lives. As you walk through the park, you will see rocks, benches and trees in memory of the children. You are able to purchase these through the website. The walking paths are very nice. If you are using a walker or wheelchair, you will not have difficulty maneuvering through the grounds. There is a small splash pad to enjoy too. What a great idea because we all know Fl. can be hot hot hot! There is a playground structure. It is small (I did attachment picture). There are tennis courts, basketball and baseball fields. I learned the park hosts games at this park. There is a bridge that you are able to fish from. There are areas on bridge that you can sit if needed. There are covered areas you can enjoy as well. If you like to have lunch in the park. There are shaded areas to sit and enjoy the beauty of the park. I used these areas to reflect on how fortunate I am to have not lost a child. Upon leaving I was humbled by my time at the park. I will definitely be going back. If you go, I hope you find it as...
Read moreHit and miss great park with multiple options from family fun and activities to a pick up game at the court. The people they hire for events are for the most part good just a couple who have harassed us as a family that wont say a thing to a couple of grown men enjoying the park with open containers! Some of the people in rec center not knowledgeable of area or complex lived here 8 years now and it's the same couple of bad eggs keeping this from a five star rating. Abuse of power/ incompetent ignorance in charge. Have children that play sports here, involved in several adult leagues, go to most events held here and would say same problems time and time again but...
Read moreGreat splash pad on the water in Madeira Beach! My 4 year old loved it!! Press the button for the water to start (be patient as it can take a minute or 2 to start). Stays on for about 10-15 minutes, then goes off to conserve water. Just press button again if you're still using the splash pad area. ROC Park also has piers to walk out on, you can fish, there's a baseball field, a field next to a stage, and a playground shaped like a pirate ship. Be careful to watch kids closely while on splash pad, as it is RIGHT next to the waterway, with no fencing to stop a child...
