This is the fifth or sixth time I've stayed at Madeira Beach, but this is the first time I've stayed anywhere but Beachfront. But, Beachfront costs a lot more $$$, and since this was a quick last minute trip, I figured we'd save a little money and stay here. Boy, I couldn't have chosen better. I did ask for a room with a balcony, but there were none available. But, the views from the room we were given were amazing. We were able to see the boats come and go, as well as beautiful sunrises. There is plenty of food options close by, even walking distance. We had a rental car so transportation was not an issue, but there was a water taxi to get you to where you needed to go. The beach was a quick less than 5 minute drive - although we went to the far end of Madeira and parked at the public beach across from John's pass. Parking there is $2 an hour, but well worth it. The first few days we did the beach, but after we found how relaxing the pool and hot tub area were at the hotel - we didn't even bother with the beach. There were always plenty of towels available, and it was probably the best part of our vacation, simply relaxing by the pool. The rooms were clean, and somehow they knew our schedule and made up our rooms when we were either poolside, or out early for the evening. Plenty of parking, and I like how if you came in after 11 pm, you needed a room key to access the outside elevator -- if you didn't have your key you had to come inside and walk past the front desk, so an extra level of security. The cleaning staff was very friendly, and I was never awaken too early by the sound of a vacuum or slamming doors. The only thing that is a letdown, but I think is common in all Courtyards, is no free buffet breakfast. They do offer breakfast that you can pay for, but since we were so close to town, we opted to try someplace new each morning. Coffee at the Starbucks downstairs was great, and the servers were extremely nice. Overall I would not hesitate to book there again if I was coming back to Madeira for...
Read moreWe were are local and didn't truly go on a vacation, we had to leave the house for two days to take care of the Florida scourge -- termites. ||I went in with just the expectations of a clean place to sleep and hang our hats. It was MORE!! The hotel was spotless and furnishings were all newer.||We decided to treat ourselves and upgrade to a waterfront suite. The view was great and it was Westward facing so you could have a cup of coffee on the balcony in the morning and not be sweltering.||Word must have gotten out about us to the staff because two or three employees mentioned they knew we were there due to an infestation and offered kind words while welcoming us. Talk about feeling special!!|As people have mentioned this is walking distance from Publix -- Florida's most popular grocery. We were able to keep our waters and coffee cream cold in the nice mini fridge. The bathroom accessories -- make up mirror and hair dryer were both great, as well. ||Last January we actually stayed at a "higher end" Marriott close to Disney and the suite at this Courtyard was not only BETTER than the boujey hotel, it was cleaner and just an all around awesome stay. ||Everyone we encountered at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. We had an unexpected nice dinner out when Shelli at the front desk told us about a happy hour special at Salt Rock Grill just a short drive away. It was LESS than we usually pay at Outback and that was with an adult beverage for each of us. (Mind you, that is ONLY Happy Hour pricing which ends at 5:30) ||The TV was a tad on the small side, BUT you can get HBO, Netflix and other premium channels. It was very easy to figure out the remote as well. ||This hotel and its top tier staff get an A+++ from this traveler. ||PS. One other thing -- parking is shaded which is a BIG plus in...

When I went back to Bonvoy- all history of cancelations for the past year was GONE.I called the Hotel and was told We " WERE A NO CALL NO SHOW" ??? I spoke to a GM assistant- she kept repeating to me to next time write down the CXl number, and she will pass it on to GM. I let her know that I'll be looking for the cxl email and will call back ...I FOUND IT...I CALLED BACK, was sent to voice-mail, I ASKED TO GIVE ME a CALL BACK. She NEVER called back.WE had to pursue the return.Every single call was initiated by us- the party that had no faults The biggest wow moment is : how are you going to ask for a cxl number from me and make suggestions on what I should be doing when the hotel has no records of me cxl the reservation, and the app mysteriously erases your information by itself? Every wrong Was on Marriott. The GM assistant basically stated to my husband that the money was returned and that's all they are going to do.They done absolutely nothing to make it up to us.So if I didn't call - Marriott would have just Took the money from us( my CC) for no errors on Our part, but all on theirs. Under any Legal terms it's stealing from the customer.. The worst part - it's our 2nd time but different property where we were charged and didn't...
