Ordered a supreme croissant (sandwich only) at 6:00 a.m. It took 10 minutes from the time I paid to when I got my food. I was thinking. " Oh cool, they're making everything fresh!" Unfortunately the egg was fried so hard, it was crunchy and inedible. And the croissant was about as hard as wood. (Not joking here unfortunately) Obviously, we're not accepting an order like that. So I went back, and had them do it over. The good news here is that customer service rocked. They were very willing and accepting to do the order over again. And apologized several times for getting it wrong. Unfortunately, the replacement was only just a bit better. The egg was only slightly less cooked till it was a hard piece of plastic, and the croissant was about half as hard as the first one. Certainly not the buttery, soft, and delicious croissants, I've gotten at other Jack in the boxes. From the reviews it seems their food quality is hit or miss. Unfortunately, for me it was miss. Twice within 10 minutes. Sorry Jack, you lost me. (You used to be really good. What happened?) We won't be coming back to this,...
Read moreFor the longest time here in Madera there was a general agreement amongst folks that Jack was that better name/quality burger. It was that place you would go to if you were tired of McD's or BK and wanted something better but not too expensive. (Carl's was obviously a better burger, but their prices were/are a bit higher.) That is no longer the case with this Jack on Gateway next to the park. Their service and food quality has plummeted in a matter of a few months. They need to hire new employees that care and sound a bit more happy. I ordered my Last burger for a while there last night. The chicken patty was cold and the whole thing was a mess covered in mayo. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. There's a dog park right next to this Jack. The food currently isn't even good enough for the dogs. I wouldn't recommend even tossing it to them as a friendly gesture. I'd rather drive all the way across town to one of the other 2...
Read moreThey were awesome. Even though they got the order wrong. Their attitude and appreciation for the situation and how they handled it was refreshing. To the point that even though I was pressed for time, I didn't mind. They were sincerely taking care of it right away. That is five stars any day of the week to me. Treat me with respect and be real. Then if you mess up I can absolutely understand and it's not a big deal. Because it's buying some food and above all it is human to errror. convenience is also what is provided. It would be inconvenient to have to go and make our own food all the time. So remember this is a luxury that we have the option to just get food anytime we need. Maybe it can cost a few minutes when an order comes messed up, but either party being a jerk will certainly cost more time. Besides, a great man told me something...
