I frequent this location very often, probably twice a day if not more. Today, I ordered from my mobile app and marked I was at the location already. I understand that drive thrus get busy, I do work in customer service myself, so I have more patience than most. However my order was rung in at 5:25pm. I was told to pull into spot #1 and wait while my order was being prepared. I was ok with this, but once I seen how many cars got in and out with bigger sized orders while I was still waiting, I decided to speak up to the wonderful women who was running orders out. When I asked her, she stated she didn't have anything in my order or even the order on the screen. She apologized and said she would get right on top of it. I wish I would have asked her name, because she was amazing. However, another 15 minutes went by (totalling my weight to 45min now) and I decided to go in and see what the hold up was. When I got in and asked questions the manager, Lynnette was rude! When I explained my situation to Lynnette, she laughed in my face!! And then was told they were handling it. Meanwhile while talking to this horrible manager, Lynette, I was also watching the wonderful women from previously, running back and forth trying to handle everything herself for my order and some as other employees approached her. Lynette was doing nothing but standing there talking to other employees, distracting them as they tried to work. When I tried speaking to Lynnette about what she could do for my wait time, again she laughed in my face and offered a cold small fry!! My order was for a fundraiser, I purchased 4 meals. A small "coold" fry as Lynette offered, is not worth wasting an hour of my time waiting for her to do her job, this is unacceptable. Lynette definitely needs a lesson in customer service and sure as hell doesn't deserve her position or pay. I have children and they have friends who work here as well and they all state how horrible this manager is. She should NOT be in any management positions as she has no idea how to play the role. I will not frequent this McDonald's anymore. I will drive the extra miles before I...
Read moreI recently visited the McDonald’s located at John R and I feel compelled to share my deeply troubling experience. Initially, I was drawn to this establishment by its familiar façade and the reputation McDonald's has for consistency. However, what I encountered inside was anything but acceptable and warrants immediate attention.
Firstly, I observed a rather unsettling lack of hygiene practices among the staff. During my visit, I noticed that when the 30-minute timer went off, signaling the need for handwashing, employees casually ignored this protocol. The importance of proper hygiene in food service cannot be overstated, and witnessing such blatant disregard raised serious concerns about the safety and cleanliness of the food being served.
To my utter shock, I witnessed a female manager engage in a particularly unsanitary act: she put her finger directly into the fry hopper and then proceeded to eat from it with her bare hands. This behavior not only defies basic food safety standards but also reflects a deeper issue regarding the staff's respect for their roles and the customers they serve. Such an action instills a profound sense of discomfort and distrust.
Moreover, it is disheartening to learn that good employees have been leaving this location. While the establishment may appear clean on the surface, the toxic atmosphere created by unprofessional and mean-spirited attitudes among the staff is palpable. The treatment of employees appears to be at odds with the customer-friendly image that McDonald's aims to project. A workplace that fosters negativity inevitably leads to turnover and a decline in service quality.
In conclusion, my experience at this McDonald's was profoundly disappointing and raises significant concerns about hygiene and workplace culture. I hope that management at this location takes immediate action to address these critical issues. The reputation of such an iconic establishment should not be compromised by the actions and attitudes of a few. It is my sincerest hope that future customers do not share a...
Read moreThe manager at the window claiming to be the name Justin Timberlake seems to think that at 4:05 AM and they can make breakfast food that hashbrowns and any deep-fried food is not something that’s available also he chose to not explain that they were cleaning the vans and that it’s my fault for being upset about him not telling me that so I’m really confused as to why we have a problem here, but Sir Justin Timberlake I think your explanation of how to handle your food service at 4:06 AM is really lacking any class.. Edit ; I attempted to wait a little while and then get back in line to re-order. So there were some officers, i.e. police officers from the Madison Heights police district that were behind me in line and we’re still there because the manager decided to start complaining about me and asking for hashbrowns. He made me sound like I was a Karen someone that was becoming disorderly over the situation when I still as I was engaging at the window before I went around and waited to order again to see if they had hashbrowns ready at this time , well when I went to the window, someone decided to say they could make the hashbrowns but instead of me being able to even pay for them, the police officer took it upon himself to get out of the vehicle, and tell me how I am a problem and that several people inside of this location were complaining about me I only engaged with one person that alleged Justin Timberlake character, who is claiming to be the only on duty manager, so I’m not sure why you can’t. I don’t know converse with a regular customer who is actually willing to talk to you instead complain to the police officers to make me seem like I’m either somebody who’s irrational or possibly intoxicated but you’re a shady person and I’m coming for your job because you should not be driving anything as a manager if this is the way you’re going to handle the situation over somebody specifically asking what time you’re serving hashbrowns this is the answer to turn people against your customer bro...
