EDIT: I left this review one year ago and kept it very brief because the restaurant had all 5 star reviews and the reputation of the restaurant and the owner himself preceded themselves. However, upon reading these ridiculous one star reviews, I must defend the honor and integrity of this place.

For the ones who say the owner “insists” on you leaving a review- no, he does not. I bring in new friends at least once or twice a month. He requests them to leave a review AFTER they are done eating. NEVER before. And he does so after asking how the food was. Like any legit business owner these days (and unfortunately, there is only a handful) he cares about the reputation of his business.

For the people who say the food is overpriced- no, it is not. This is a FULLY zabiha HFSAA certified HALAAL restaurant. Every single piece of meat is HAND slaughtered 100% halaal and even the sauces have NO doubtful ingredients in them. It takes a year to get approved for HFSAA certification and they are very strict in making sure the restaurant adheres to all of the rules and regulations. Places like Al-Qamar, Conant Cafe, and other Hamtramck restaurants are not fully zabiha halaal. They get their meat for much much cheaper. You can do the research yourself!

For the people complaining about the quality- these reviews are from a while ago. At that time I only went to the restaurant once or so a month, so I won’t comment on that just for the sake of keeping this all factual. However, nowadays I go almost every week. I can tell you that the owner takes his time on every single order. He prioritizes quality more than actual dine-in restaurants. If you go in today and order anything on the menu, I guarantee you that you will fall in love with the quality of the food. Just look at all the recent reviews of this place. Only 1 or 2 one-star reviews and I already addressed those comments in my review.

Despite reading all previous negative reviews, I still decided to give this place a chance. After experiencing this place myself, I'm fully agreeing to all previous reviews and concerns. If you care about your Health and food hygiene, and don't want to get sick or having a bad food poisioning - Avoid this place ! I see the owners keep posting a lame, routine responses to the reviews but without making any meaningful improvements to address issues and concerns. I recently went to this place to try their pizza and I was also super disapponted. Mainly, due to their poor service level, cleanliness, and the overall unhygenic conditions. This place was super hot, felt like I had walked into a furnace - with NO AIR CONDITIONING... I tried to order a small pizza for myself but they insisted on giving me a large size instead, which made me wondering if they were trying to sell me someone else’s unsold, old pizza to save few bucks! Unwillingly, I tried one of their horrible burger, it was just over loaded with tons of spices and dripping sauce, the chicken patty and the veggies in the burger didn't appear fresh! Apparently, this place is very poorly managed. Considering, their cleanlieness and the NO-AC situation. I wonder how unhygenic and unclean is their kitchen? (Probably, serving spoiled, days old meat and veggies). Next I'm thinking to contact City Food department to report all these issues and to send Food inspectors to this place. Because the owners are not taking these issues, concerns seriously!

Ever since this place opened I’ve been wanting to try it and luckily I was finally able to today and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I had the privilege to not just meet the owner but also have a wonderful conversation with him. Great individual and was really focused on getting feedback so he could serve the customers better. Very clean place! Now to the food...I had ordered a chicken/pepperoni pizza with a crispy chicken burger. Both of them were reallllly good. The owner recommended that i eat a few slices of pizza first to taste the flavor and then try the burger. See this is a clear indication of one knowing what flavor is all about. The pizza was delicious, good crust, fresh sauce and the right amount of cheese. As for the burger, I ended up getting the spicy crispy chicken burger and it was worth it. It had a little kick to it which I liked and the spiciness wasn’t overbearing but made the burger good. The chicken was nice and proper crispy. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and I will most definitely be returning to try the other items. The best part is that being Muslim, it’s hard to find ZABIHA HALAL places but fortunately this place is both! They are HFSAA CERTIFIED! Definitely check this place out next time you’re...
