Shame on your business and your lack of communication! Natalie's was a place we used to purchase our baked goods all the time when we lived in Michigan. Over the years we moved out of state but I was back in Michigan on business and at the request of my wife she asked for me to order some breads from Natalie's to take home. I called to place the order last Wednesday (Sept 9th 2020) to pick up today (Sept 12th 2020) in the afternoon so to keep things as fresh as possible driving back the 8+ hours home tomorrow. The order was for: 3 Seven Grain Breads, 2 Butter Split Breads, 2 Carrot Desert Breads and a Rustic Italian. When I placed the order I asked if it was ok to phone in an order this way? "Yes" and I asked if it was ok to pick up Saturday in the afternoon? "Yes" then I asked if all breads were still available/still being made? "Yes" That sounded good to me so I made the order and left my phone number if they needed to call me. NOW for what happened today, the day of pick up. I walk into the bakery and ask for my order. The worker at the desk first had no clue about my order. Then pulls out a order paper that shows my name, my phone number, the breads listed and when I would pick them up. Nothing was ready and then I was told that BOTH the Seven Grain Breads and Butter Split Breads were not even made anymore! So they had some Rustic Italian bread left and I bought 2 of those and 1 carrot desert bread was still on the shelf so I took that just so I could bring my wife back SOMETHING. I still have a bread rewards card and asked if it can still be used the worker said yes but after going back to my car I see it had no additional markings on it! I wanted to purchase some sweet baked goods as well but I was so mad for the fact that NO ONE thought to call me for the days leading up to my pick up about how my order needed to be changed and the indifference of the worker that was now telling me not only did they not have available anymore half the bread I wanted but we did not have the other half of the order ready for me to pick up! THANKS FOR THE PHONE CALL LETTING ME KNOW! It was "oh so sorry, you can purchase these things and goodbye." I drove back to where I was staying LIVID. This is a terrible example of very bad communication and customer service. I know I am not a repeat customer because I do not live in Michigan anymore but those of you who do repeat business here I will just say be aware of this severe lack of communication. Now I will say one thing. Before I pulled into where I was staying in Michigan after this nightmare today I did receive a phone call from another worker at Natalie's who was coming in on her shift and noticed my order placed and realized that what should have been communicated to me DAYS ago that half the breads they don't make anymore. I appreciated her phone call and after me telling her I was already there and found out the hard way her apology and I quote "Unfortunately all I can say is that this is a problem with our communication and all I can do is say that we are very sorry." It is too little, too late. Please communicate with your customers better in the future. For me the whole situation has been extremely disappointing. Btw the breads are still listed on your website so that...
Read morelots of delicious, fresh bread here. not only that, but they keep a nice sample tray out so I can try anything new they make. The problem with that is I'll try something and then it's so delicious I have no choice but to buy it. There was a cinnamon bread today that I just could not resist after tasting.
not only does Natalie's have great breads but they also have some amazing deserts. I am addicted to the peanut butter cookies here. The tiramisu is amazing and although they didn't have one today the pecan pie was intense!
I find I keep coming back to Natalie's for the great bread, delicious treats and...
Read moreI walked in just a few minutes before closing with the whole family. Sokol was so pleasant and patient with the kids whilst they choose their sweets,a cupcake and cake pop. The tiramisu I got was fantastic and the wife loves her pecan pie. I am looking forward to eating the loaf of bread we purchased.
The place is small, tidy, and even at the end of the day smells of freshly baked goods. I really don't know why we haven't stopped here earlier. I drove past it every day for the last four years! I must be out of my mind for not shipping this...
