The food was decent I had the chicken Alfredo and it was ok just not much special really. The waiter guy was kinda weird I swear he was depressed or something walking around all Emo-like. He spoke so low I couldn’t hear him and he didn’t seem to understand what we were saying either. He also seemed scared to talk or ask questions. They said he was new but come on dude perk up a bit you got a job and ur alive be happy a little bit…kinda brings the mood down. I left about a $10 tip not really bc I thought he deserved it but just bc I thought maybe it’ll help perk him up. The lady waitress was the complete opposite she was all friendly and perky and inquisitive. I guess overall the experience was mediocre and in my opinions not worth the price. The Wife and I were very disappointed when Black Olive shut down, since that was a frequent Friday Night Date stop. Now we are very pleased to see that it has re-opened as Black Olives, presumably under new ownership. The food is just as good if not better. Even though they were having some personnel issues in the back (dishwasher quit, it seems), which produced slight delays for us, our Waitress was very good and attentive. Like all newly started venues, some minor glitches are expected. Before the original closed, we were always wondering why there seemed to be such a medium attendance, though the location is tucked between two motels. This new Italian spot in Madison is already off to a great start. The food was fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere is cozy-perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal. Breanna, our server, did an amazing job. She was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience stress-free. It's the kind of service that really stands out. Since the place is still new, I'm excited to see how it grows and gets even better over time. Definitely worth checking out...
