If I could rate this location “0” stars I absolutely would. My friends and I placed a $70+ order through the mobile app. Upon arriving to pick up the food, the female at the drive through assured us that everything was in the bags that we ordered. After driving the ten to fifteen minutes back to our place and opening the bags, we realized that we were missing half of the order. We immediately called the restaurant about the missing items. The shift lead/manager that was working the night of 06/29/25 was anything but helpful. Rather than offering to remake the missing items, the manager insisted that he could not remake the order and that our items were under the heat lamp. I asked for the items to be remade as the food would have been sitting there for thirty minutes at this point. The manager proceeded to hang up on me after we insisted on having the food remade for the inconvenience. We called again and the manager told us we could come get the food but, it would not be remade.“Unfortunately we will not be remaking the food, we will not give you a refund you can come pick up the food if you would like that is the best that I can do for you”. This is exactly what was said as he again hung up. Of course we were frustrated but, the conversation was as cordial as could be. Aside from the employee hanging up on us twice. We proceeded to head over to the location. Upon arrival we observed a long line of other customers so we again called. We politely asked if we could pull up to the window since our food remained under the heat lamp. You would think that would be an easy accommodation… The manager told us that we had to wait in the long line and further declined to remake the order. I asked him what his name was and if he could provide the GM business card at the window. He refused to tell me his name. If you’ve worked in the food service industry, you would know that GM’s have business cards available upon request. You would also know that you are trained to please the customers. I only asked because the employee hung up on us twice, declined to address the problem, and never apologized for the inconvenience. Once we got to the speaker/menu we let the drive through attendant know that we were there for the missing items. They did not reply or direct us to whichever window. At this point our food had been just sitting there for forty five to sixty minutes. Once we got to the window the guy handed us our food while I again asked for the GM’s card or the corporate number. The guy at the window blatantly shut the window while I was mid-sentence. We accepted the inconvenience for what it was and got home to… who would've guessed? Cold food. I was beyond astonished and disappointed with our experience. I am writing this because I had left a voice message requesting that the GM call me back, in which they never did. Knowing now that this place operates with unprofessional and unqualified Individuals, I could never recommend this location to anyone. I suppose after this experience I can assure anyone that this location does not prioritize customer feedback and satisfaction. It is McDonalds after all, it shouldn't be...
Read moreI don't like too much fast food foa, but I've noticed that McDonalds has been sharing (losing) their business to other restaurants in the area for some time now. The prices have gone back up since the quality of some of the food also increased. While some of the items are still questionable, I think if you're looking for a cheap meal, then McDonalds is the way to go if health and taste aren't at the top of your list. There are other options on their menu as far as healthier and more savory items as well, but as with anything fresh and that uses more resources, it will cost a pretty penny. These menu options are worth it as most restaurants will charge close to $10 elsewhere for something similar. Now I do like Culver's, Hardee's, and Burger King as well but McDonalds will always be the cheapest place to go to when you are eating on a budget which isn't a bad thing, but they're not at the top of my list. I would have to say Hardee's is my favorite personally. Thanks for reading my review of McDonalds as a whole. Now as far this particular store, I've never had a direct problem except for they seem to worry more about their "drive thru customers"more than the people that were inside. I waited a good twenty minutes with two people in line for two fish sandwiches, fries, and a 10 pc of chicken nuggets... While the drive thru orders kept flying out. It was around 9:30pm. It could've been since they were close to the end of their shift, but still I thought this was fast food and not a four course meal. It's always pretty clean, but the playground area is a joke. They use to have an interactive area for the youth. They have since taken out the terminals and never replaced them with kiddie tables, or used this area properly so it was pretty empty with only a mediocre ball put and slide for the longest time. It also had a smelly area for kids to put their shoes. It was pretty unsanitary. I think the interactive thing is a good idea, since kids usually sit still if they are watching TV... Anyway, that's my idea. They have them for adults, why not for the kids!? In the summer, the waste bins get so sour smelling and you have to sit out there in the drive thru line for the longest time. I know they need to have them close, but how come we haven't come up with a better waste disposal method yet!? I mean it is 2017 already. Maybe I have to rise to the occasion and hit the...
Read moreThis is probably the worst McDonald's in the country. No joke. They can't even get my order right one time in ten. I have given them a chance many times over the 10 years I've been living on the West side and they've never failed to remind me why I refuse to go there.
The train wreck that is this restaurant starts from the minute you pull into the drive through. Seeing as how it's located in a very busy location, the drive through is always packed. There's two ordering lanes, which would require the person taking the order to differentiate between what lane 1 is ordering and what lane 2 is ordering. YEAH, RIGHT. It's a toss up as to whether you'll even get someone that speaks English to take your order. Usually it's someone that speaks so little English that ordering a meal that deviates from the standard menu even the SMALLEST iota causes them to literally SHUT DOWN before your very eyes. I've never seen such an empty expression in my life. Then, they smile and nod and ignore what you said completely and make what they think you want. Let me tell you, those two things NEVER intersect.
I've actually gotten a cheeseburger with no meat once here. I kid you not. Why they think that was possibly the right answer is one of the great mysterious of the universe.
Added to the fact that you will never get a correct order unless it's coming out of the wrapper and going straight into the microwave in the back is the fact that the service is INCREDIBLY slow. You would die of old age if not for the carbon monoxide fumes that hover around the drivethrough due to the cars idling for 45 minutes per order. Then they will get your change wrong, more than likely, and you will realize that you are now trapped in the parking lot because getting out of there is a NIGHTMARE. Traffic is horrendous there all the time, and as it's one of the busiest intersections in Madison, and across from the West Towne Mall, you have to worry about crazy pedestrians darting across the street from time to time.
Do yourself a favor, if you think about stopping at this place, punch yourself in the face hard enough to distract you until you are past their driveway. You'll never be able to turn around and go back there so it's best you just forget...
