Read moreUpdate October 2018: I decided to give it another try at the behest of the managerial response I got on Google Reviews. I went here at 3:30am on October 23rd, 2018. I won’t go here to this Regent St location anymore after this trip. It’s the second time in a row third shift has burnt the fries I’ve ordered (asked them a second time in a row to make them fresh and I don’t think they did, or they did and burnt them again twice in a row somehow) and the chicken McNuggets were too hard to eat and tasted weird like they were old. I felt like I just wasted $8 or however much the 10 piece McNugget meal costs. Really disappointed, sad they never offer free meals either for screwing up the food so often at this location during third shift, I have to go to a different location on my way home to get the fries remade, which I didn’t even bother doing this morning on my way home from work. This is really making me tired of Mcdonalds and I think it’s put me off of their food for the time being. It seems this location has not learned anything after a year since it’s the same Mexican(?) guy in charge that burns the food, so I don’t think management has said anything to the people working. I can’t even finish the McNuggets because they taste so old and gross and I will eat anything. The more I eat the more disappointed I get. It is crazy that I can’t even bend some of the nuggets because of how hard they are, which makes me believe they were sitting around for WAY too long. Every time I’ve come to this location on third shift I leave feeling disappointed and gross. I won’t be coming to Regent Street Mcdonalds anymore. I’ll drive to the east side or park st if I really need mcdonalds food.
Wasn't serving chicken McNuggets at 4:50am on Sept 13th, 2017 so I got my usual hash brown and sausage burrito. Well at least they remembered the mild sauce after I reminded him but it seems the big Mexican guy in charge who barely speaks a word of English couldn't be bothered to make a fresh brown as the one I got was lukewarm and almost hard to bite into. A little disappointing their food quality is getting worse now that their dollar menu breakfast items have gotten more expensive. At least they gave me napkins. The sausage burrito was okay but wasn't very hot so who knows if it was stuff made fresh or had been sitting around for a while, can never tell anymore unless you ask them to make your food...
Read moreI really don't understand why there is a restricted "late night menu" no other Mcdonalds does this. Mcdonalds is a chain franchise, not a family restaurant, why cant this one meet the same standards as any other McDonalds I've been too. If you want a double cheeseburger, too bad, you must get a quarter pounder bc its all they have on the late night menu thats a burger. I had to talk my cashier into letting me have a McGriddle bc he told me it wasn't on the late night menu and I explained that if its on the "all day breakfast menu" then they should have it all day as advertised! Reluctanly they let me order it, but only after informing me they we cash only and I'd have to pay 3 dollars to use the suspiciously "convenient" atm literally part of the restaurant. Finally I asked for a receipt and was told I can't get one bc their cash only and asked "why don't you trust me" by the cashier. But its bc I like keeping record of my finances, especially when I pay cash and don't have exact bank statement payments from my debit card purchases.
After getting my food, I realized I didn't get the fries I ordered and when I asked for them the cashier got me them but closed the "food door" on my hand when I tried to get it and gave the most unconvincing apology I have ever received.
Just because this McDonalds is located on a college campus doesnt mean you should treat your customers like garbage just because you assume they are drunk, or use predatory business schemes to force your clients into buying more expenaive food bc you don't think they'll care if they're drunk . Because some of them aren't and just want a normal McDonalds meal after moving their friends out all day, and I can't believe that is too much to ask.
To all the people on here praising this Mcdonalds or hating it for the food quality alone, you are wasting people's time. People know what to expect with McDonalds, rate it compared to other Mcdonalds bc if you did this one would have a far worse...
