Public Parking Bar is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is vibrant yet laid-back, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out or a fun gathering with friends. The industrial-chic décor, dim lighting, and stylish seating give it a modern yet cozy feel, while the music adds just the right energy to the space.

The drink menu is impressive, featuring a fantastic selection of craft cocktails, local beers, and premium spirits. I tried their signature cocktail, and it was perfectly balanced—refreshing, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The bartenders are true professionals, not only skilled in their craft but also super friendly and happy to make personalized recommendations.

The food menu, though not extensive, is thoughtfully curated with delicious options that pair perfectly with the drinks. We ordered a few small plates to share, and every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and plated with care. The truffle fries were addictively good, and the sliders were juicy and packed with flavor.

What really sets this place apart is the overall experience. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome, the service is quick, and the vibe is just right—whether you’re here for a casual drink or an all-night hangout.

If you're looking for a stylish bar with great drinks, delicious bites, and a relaxed yet lively atmosphere, Public Parking Bar is the place to be. I can’t wait...

If you live close by to Public Parking. I’m very envious and you should feel very lucky. This establishment exudes a welcoming and cheerful demeanor. Rarely would I personify a bar to this level. From the time I walk in to the time I leave, I feel comfortable to strike up a conversation with anyone. The atmosphere and creative spirit feels safe and inviting.

More impressive than the atmosphere are the carefully curated cocktails. These are not just some clever names disguised by sugary drinks out of a pre-mix bottle. They tell a story thats whimsical and full of joy or laughter. Each blissful beverage has a unique mouth feel, tantalizing the tongue. This type of achievement can only be contributed to the team behind the bar and their dedication to the craft.

Speaking of the staff, I’m absolutely in love with how friendly and knowledgeable they all are. The preset menu is great for those looking to try something new. But sometimes it’s nice to go back to an old classic. My go to drink is a simple Manhattan. But during my last visit, I wished for something a bit more smoky in flavor. JR asked me a few simple questions and creative a version of the Manhattan that was delicious and exceed my expectations.

Go, enjoy, converse, and have a...

This is now my favorite place to get a drink in Madison. The drinks are very original, from the ingredients, the names, to the presentation. We visited Saturday and tried about six of their beverages including 'Grandma Hates My Neck Tatoo', "He's Not You, But You're Not Here', 'Candiru in Your PP'. I enjoyed everything I tried. It was fun watching them create each cocktail. From the liquid nitrogen to chill the glasses, to the shapes of the drinking vessels, to the way they prepared the garnishes, it really felt like they were creating works of art. Although we sat at the bar, there is also outdoor seating or comfy chairs to relax in. The drinks were on the pricey side, but well worth it. The bartenders were all very friendly and answered any questions we had. We'll...

Was visiting home and WOW this new bar is the real deal! This was started by a guy who spent time in the Austin TX bar/cocktail industry and Madison is SO lucky he deciding to bring his talents north and pour it into this spot! The cocktails are phenomenally crafted, so much variety on the menu you can’t go wrong. The atmosphere feels classy but fun at the same time, everyone inside seemed to have a fun vibe going. The bartenders were so kind and professional. Really own their craft. Also this spot on E Johnson is great with a few other small restaurants and bars nearby. They also serve sushi (some days?) from Jack knife which is the BEST sushi on the east side. Such a fun idea. Couldn’t recco this spot more!

Nice cocktail bar option on Johnson st. Makes for a nice pit stop alongside institutional faves like the Caribou. Two separate seating areas; classic bar area with high tops and a different room with lounge feel and furniture. Looked like their large windows open up at some point. That’s a nice feature tho the day we’re visiting they were shut. Cocktails range between some classics, classics with a slight twist and some really creative ones. Mostly each one has a minimum of 7 - 8 ingredients. While that makes me skeptical, I am here to learn and enjoy! Our fave cocktail we tried was the Not Too Sweet - well made and balanced. Would go back to try out a few more. Cincin!

You must come here!!! What an experience. I love creative drinks and eats, I do it as often as I can. I would say I have a refined palette from cooking and eating high end meals myself. The bar is gorgeous, the restrooms are clean and nice. The DRINKS! The quality of the liquor, the mixes, the garnishes. I can’t say enough good things. We came back to this bar twice because we couldn’t get enough. The drinks are strong so one was plenty for both us. We both ended up getting NA cocktails just so we could keep trying the drinks when we were out our limit for drinks. Please come and try. You should sit at the bar to see these drinks get created.
