Their hot and spicy cheese bread is to die for! I wish I had tried this sooner during my 4 years in Madison instead of the week before graduating and moving out. I have so many regrets about it. How good is this bread? I need to make a trip to Madison for an event in the middle of the week next month, but I booked my tickets so that I get there Saturday morning the previous weekend just so I can go to the farmers market for this bread! Its so nice and warm, with the perfectly right amount of chili flakes and cheese. I don't see why someone would not like this.

Stella's is conveniently located about one mile north of the Capital City Trail. It made for a welcome stop on our cool autumn bike ride. We enjoyed an Almond Bear Claw, Cherry Danish, Spinach Empanada and hot coffee between the two of us. We just missed all the bakers but it's cool to watch them do their thing. Hot and Spicy Cheese Bread is a must, but the other bakery is just as delicious.

Got 2 boules shipped as a Christmas gift and lets just say that both boules were gone in 5 days! Side note, I tried to send some of these to my friends on the West Coast but shipping (~$58) is more than the price of the boules ($24) which is unfortunate. If it was cheaper a lot of people would have gotten these as Christmas gifts!

Good product, service needs some improvement!!!

We love Stella's products, have purchased for years, and will continue to do so. However their service, especially lately, could use some work if they want to keep loyal customers!

Twice in the last two weeks, both at the shop location and the farmers market, we've had trouble getting helped with our purchase. At the shop: Walked in, waited to be acknowledged, (which took far too long), asked for what we wanted and proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait (while the employee danced in the background) for us to find out that they were sold out of what we came for. We were thinking of asking for a different product, but didn't bother and left without buying anything. At the farmers market: We were one of 3 customers, and Stella's had nearly 10 people in their tent. We asked for our bread, the employee walked away. Another person asked us if we were being helped, and we said "I think so, but we're not sure, " she acted annoyed, saying we were "confused". (It was confusing to see so many employees not working with customers) FINALLY we got our bread, change and were able to continue shopping.

As a small business owner, we know customers and service are the top priority, especially when we're out on location for the purpose of selling our product. It would be nice for Stella's employees to act like they care we're coming out to...

I first met Stella's bakery at the Capitol square farmer's market. Their spicy cheesey bread is to die for. Since it's not farmer's market season I went out to their storefront location to get bread. Also purchased a raspberry cream cheese Danish which was amazing and a pecan roll which was equally amazing. Facility was really clean and staff was friendly. So why a 3 stars? Same complaint as another reviewer put, the lack of cheese in the spicy cheesey bread. Huge disappointment. There was pretty much no cheese in it just all bread. Definitely need to look at the quality of your bread and get this issue corrected since this seems to be a...
