Maria's Halal Pizzeria (Des Plaines) — Restaurant in Maine Township

Tried their burger, pizza and wings and I must say I didn’t like any of them honestly. Wings were not properly cooked and seemed raw. The meat in burger didn’t tasted good and was definitely not fresh. It was chicken cheese pizza. Loaded with cheese with chicken pieces as toppings. It looked really good but tasted opposite. It seemed like it was not baked enough. It tasted like raw red chili powder sprinkled on rubbery crust with tasteless cheese as if they didn’t use any sauce or Anything. Didn’t live up to the expectation. I would prefer dominos any time. Nowhere near it. I live nearby. Such a shame. Moreover, so costly as if a Michelin chef himself is cooking. On top of that such a long waiting time which is reasonable but not worth if the food taste horrible… My intention is not to effect your business but to let you know that your food taste horrible and you should know it. I recently had an unfortunate experience at this store. The salesperson who assisted me (mexican guy), was extremely unprofessional and rude. From the moment I approached the counter, their attitude was dismissive and unfriendly. When I asked about the menu items, they responded curtly and seemed irritated by my questions.

During the ordering process, they appeared impatient and rushed, making the experience uncomfortable and stressful. Additionally, they made a mistake with my order and when I politely pointed it out, their response was defensive and unhelpful. Instead of correcting the mistake, they made me feel as though it was my fault.

This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I hope the management takes appropriate action to address this issue. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, and my experience was far from that. I will think twice before returning to...

My family really wanted to support this halal business but after we were treated poorly twice and our food wasn’t prepared on time even after calling in advance I have to give you this negative review. The employees here are extremely rude and lack respect for customers. They are disorganized and have twice now made us wait for our food for long periods of time despite calling 2.5 hours in advance. Both myself and my elderly mother have been treated very unkindly. If you like being treated poorly and want your food to come late I’d say definitely keep supporting this business. Otherwise find somewhere else. To mama Maria: if you ever want us to dine here again please learn how to do business properly, but as of right now not me nor my family will be coming back.
