My response to the owner: If it is a defect in the bakery, then it is the owners responsibility to ensure the bakery is good and satisfactory prior to selling it. The expiration date is issued by the businessā¦maybe someone from your store isnāt very good with numbers and figuring out when the food quality goes bad. I drove over an hour to your store (from Wisconsin) to get your products. I would not drive back just to return them and get bad bakery/food again.
Additionally, it wasnāt just one item that went bad within 1-2 days. It everything I bought and I spent $70 there! As a business owner, blaming the customer isnāt the best practice. I can guarantee you others have had issues there as well. I shouldāve known not to stop in when I noticed the parking lot was empty.
Save your time and money and go to Wiklanskiās Bakery on 6006 W Belmont Ave. You wonāt regret it! š
UPDATE: I did NOT make a new google account, I have two and couldnāt edit my previous post. After you being condescending, something needed to be said. Also, reporting my honest review will be the only way you get business since ācustomersā wonāt see the truth. The only positive reviews are probably spam accounts or from your family. Plus, ādeliā in the name should mean you only sell deli then?? And like I said, I spent $70 and bought meat and deli products. It was ALL terrible. I should contact the state as Iām sure youāre not up to the health code. š©āš»...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have had great experiences here. It is a grocery store on the smaller side (a major part of it is a deli counter that contains many meats and prepared dishes.) They also sell hot food to go--the stuffed cabbage rolls (they have with and without meat), meat patties with mushroom gravy, and a kind of spiced tomatoey cabbage were all delicious. I knew very little about Polish food, and both times I have gone the workers serving the food were happy to explain the dishes to me (they spoke good English.) Unlike other ethnic stores I have been to, the prices in general seemed very reasonable, not inflated at all. The staff are helpful and courteous. They have a great tea section/selection. They also have fresh baked pastries. Will come back...
Read moreIf I could I would give this place 0 stars⦠We were excited to get delicious polish food but it turned out to be gross. The Kolosky we bought they became moldy the next day even though the box said it expired 9/11. As you can see from the picture I provided below. We bought rye bread that later realized had no expiration date which it should have because that bread was so hard and old it was disgusting! We also bought angle wing cookies they were stale and tasteless. Not only that but the smoke polish sausage was dry and tasteless. For the amount of money they charge customer this should not have happened! What a waste of money! I will not go back to this place again or recommend...
