My family and I came into the new Outback Restaurant in Des Plaines/Rosemont this past Friday, September 6th, 2024 and we were blown away in every way!!! We have been to other Outback Restaurants before, but NEVER have had an experience like we did here!!! From being greeted and the door opened, to our AMAZING & OUTSTANDING server , Colleen, to the owner Angie visiting the table to the absolute BEST & FRESHEST FOOD with amazing pricing & specials….SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT! We had the best time and so glad we came to this location and have fallen in love with it and can’t wait to come back!
But, the main reason we will be back…is because of the OUTSTANDING service from Colleen! Her personality is so AMAZING, with her attention to detail, her care in her work and her overall fun, bubbly & outgoing attitude is the BEST! By the time we left, we felt like family and want to come and see her weekly! Her energy is contagious, her smile just makes you smile and her overall being just makes you happy! There is not enough words to describe her AMAZINGNESS! We do frequent another steakhouse in the area, but they do not hold a candle to this Outback Steakhouse!
The quality of food, pricing and the entire staff is TRULY REMARKABLE and HIGHLY recommend them! The icing on the cake was the proprietor of the restaurant, Angie Diaz! She visited all of the customers in the restaurant, with a genuine interest and attitude! She makes you feel so welcome, appreciated and shows true interest in her customers! Her overall attitude, personality and welcoming feel is truly exceptional, and we appreciated her & her time! With the combination of THE BEST SERVER EVER, Colleen, OUTSTANDING owner Angie and beyond exceptional food, service and staff…Outback Rosemont is THE GOLD STANDARD! Definitely ask for Colleen when you come...you will have the BEST...
Read moreOur party of 4 got to the restaurant around 415 pm. The restaurant had a few parties, but mostly, it was empty. We were informed that we could not be seated for 5 to 10 minutes as they were waiting for staff to arrive. About half an hour later, there was a large crowd waiting inside by the doors. We asked for a table, and we were first offered a booth before lead to a half booth half table. I dont know if our waiter knew what had happened, but it seemed he did everything to make our meal pleasurable, checking on us frequently. This location is about a third of any other Outback I have ever been to, and the music seemed to get louder during our meal. The owner came to check on us, and I complained about the delay in being seated and her lack of staff when we got there - we could have been seated at the table talking with drinks while we waited instead of standing by the door. She made some excuses and thanked me for my feedback. With the smaller restaurant, it gets crowded quickly (be extra careful if you walk with a cane like I do), and there really is no space to wait for a seat when the restaurant is in the middle of the dinner rush. Between the lack of staff before 5 p.m., the dismissive owner, and the loud music, we will not...
Read moreShocker Bar staff was requested to hold off on the mains (ribeye) until I finished the side Cesar salad (which was excellent) I ordered at 21h35 and kitchen closes 22h00.But everything was unfortunately cooked together after requesting otherwise. Order was put in 25min before kitchen closing! The only good thing about this Outback was the glass of Australian Shiraz I had, and the Cesar salad 👍 Steak had been sitting on a hot plate while I ate the salad, although I requested to hold off on the steak.. Steak was over cooked on 1 side after sitting on the hot plate while I finished the Cesar Steak was a disaster and full of gristle. Bar staff asked me to park a beer on the counter as she was in a rush to close her bar station.. This was addressed by the manager. Start up restaurant, my advice. Stay away until the market forces them to adjust attitude, quality and service! Good luck with getting it right...
