I got the Cali burrito with steak, rice and beans, and the horchata cold brew. I also tried all of the available salsas. I think a big part of my poor review is expectation based so I'll start there. I was expecting a more authentic Mexican restaurant, still kind of an upscale-gringo taco joint, but the flavors I am accustomed to if that makes sense. Everything was over seasoned. The rice and beans had what I would guess was steak rub sprinkled all over the top of them. Too much going on there. The Cali burrito had fries in it and they were super-seasoned, reminiscent of curly fries. The burrito was decent aside from the lack of meat and the French fry seasoning, definitely could have used more meat though. The salsa was honestly the most jarring part of the experience. The avocado salsa tasted like unripe avocados and not a drop of jalapeno, and the ranchera tasted like black pepper and msg, the others weren't too bad but there wasn't a lick of heat to any of them. I usually avoid the "hot" salsa and stick to medium and a lot of the time even that's too much for me.
The horchata cold brew was the best part of my meal.

The tacos, rice, and beans aren’t anything too special (coming from an authentic Mexican #notengoelnopalenlafrente.) Being a new opened location in town it was very cute inside and good vibes. I think if I was drunk and hungry I would hit this place up, but to say I’d go here for...
