One week ago, I came in to buy a new phone when my phone broke. Went in, got the phone, and left. I paid $200 with trade-in to get a new iPhone so I was stoked, and I told my family to get one too. Unfortunately, things were not as great as it seemed.
They go to a different T-Mobile a week later, and they told them that to upgrade, it would actually not be $200, even though thatâs what I paid. That store my family went to told them the $200 was actually not for the phone, but for the store to transfer my info to the new phone in-store. I was NEVER informed by Santi, the associate I worked with, nor any of the other 3 staff members that were standing by and watching this transaction, that thatâs what that $200 charge was for. All they asked me was, âDid you want to transfer your stuff at home or in-store.â They also didnât give me the choice to pay for the phone in full, or tack it onto the monthly fee. They made that decision FOR me and tacked the fee onto the family bill, when I actually wanted to pay for the phone in full. They even had the audacity to ask me to work for them and even asked me to fill out the online application in-store so they could hire me on the spot! WHILE THEY SCAMMED ME OUT OF $200. And this part was not really the staffâs fault, but while I was in store, one of their guests called me, an Asian woman, âMULAN,â right before they left the store. TOTALLY unrecalled for, and COMPLETELY racist :( Iâm not even Chinese.
This interaction showed me that the employees here are very hungry for commission, and will gladly do what it takes so you pay the most they can get you to pay, because thatâs money in their pocket. The manager Jessica spoke to us, my husband tried to explain to her the situation (didnt care to listen) as well as I tried to explain after confirming that she sees the notes on the account. She made a nightmare out of a simple situation, I have not had tmobil service since May 1st due to âno simâ error (diagnosed by tmobil 611 tech support and notated on the account) and needed a replacement sim after I told her 5 days later I still didnât receive it because they did not write the address right and delivered it incorrectly, I was advised by 611 to go to store location. Which is exactly what I did, but Jessica kept rudely cutting me off and repeating it will be $10 fee, followed by repeating so are you going to buy it? with attitude and kept cutting me off when I tried to speak. She said it is policy to charge me $10 at the store and I would need to call 611, WHICH IS NOT TRUE I told her exactly what they told me through 611, a âno simâ will be free of charge sim replacement both through mail and in store, this was on tmobil. She continued to keep cutting me off and repeating am I going to purchase it or not. Also, it makes completely no sense because why would i call 611 again when they directed me to a store??? I didnât come in there to fight someone I came there for customer service. Nevertheless, both the staff and management of this store have repeatedly failed to respond to my calls and provide the service they promised. I dealt with Slobodan and Christian, who I was told is a manager, was involved over the phone to set up my business account. After two hours in the store they were getting ready to close. Slobodan wasn't able to answer why the downpayment for the phones was more than the cost of the phones under the current promotion. He told me he will get the phones I needed and the answers to my questions the next day and call me to finish the transaction. He never did. I called multiple times, left messages for both Slobodan and Christian and explained the situation. No one ever returned my calls. When I finally was able to get in touch with Slobadan, two weeks later, the promotion had expired. I was upset but as a business owner I know that sometimes things don't happen the way they should so I asked to speak with a manager. He said that he will try to remedy the situation and that his business representative will get in touch with me the same day or the day after. That was over a week ago.
