Potbelly — Restaurant in Maine Township

I was in there for like a few minutes to order my food and there were things that didn't sit well with me. First the guy who was making my sandwich I can't tell if he washed his hands before making my sandwich. I did see him throwing away garbage before I entered the restaurant and he did follow behind me a soon after he threw the garbage. I just saw him put on gloves to make my sandwich. Hard to say if he did wash his hands or not. However, the thing that bothered me more is how as I was waiting for my sandwich to be made I did rest my arms crossed on the counter and I'm guessing the manager on duty called me over right away to pay for my meal. Now this alone wouldn't be a big deal, but I noticed that the customer after me did the same and she didn't say anything to her. I got the impression that the manager was being either racist (I'm Hispanic) or she didn't want me there in particular. To make it short I left...

I came in a few days ago, was running late and just having a rough day. I came in late which I hate, because sometimes workers are in the last stretch of getting ready to clean up and going home after working hard, but there was this lovely older man(Sorry!) who just took a moment to offer a few kind words to me after I ordered and I just gotta say that truly made me feel welcomed. This location will definitely be my go to spot when I'm heading in and out of O'hare off customer service alone. The sandwich was ok, not to the fault of the store however, just overestimated my appetite that night lol! Thank you so much for making customers feel welcome in times like this.

Update: I managed to run into this man and they fired him so I will not...

Not a good value for the money. Did not realize until paying at the register that my side of Mac and cheese was almost $5! Add to that the tea had soured and it was not worth the $14.53 that I paid for a small sandwich, side, and small drink.
