Stopped for late night dinner to see what everyone is talking about. Turns out that if there is no other place around to get your fix for taco craving this would be the place. But does not compare to the way better places in the city. I guess if this is the best they have to offer then this is the best they have to offer🤷♂️. I had a few tacos to try Al Pastor, and Steak... both were ok but nothing to write home about. I ended up having a Torta sandwich and I've had way better elsewhere. I pay equal or less for the items I ate and anywhere else you go but you get ,more meat, pay less , and get different cheese( I've never had tacos with the type of cheese they throw on their tacos and Tortas like I've had here)( almost like they went to the grocery store and picked up a three blend shredded cheese package from the cheese section( it sux). Sorry but not sorry, probably the worst I've had anywhere. The only highlight here would be the assortment of hot sauces you can choose from that are good and are made fresh vs out of a can.
The quantity and quality of food served/sold here are expensive & pretty dissapointing for what you'd expect and know, but considering that the Rosemont stadium is right next door and they get lots of foot traffic after many events , all those that don't know good Mexican tacos / food would think this is good...But it is not. I'd rather go to TBK , because the really good places are in the...
Read moreI always have a pleasure of dining at Taco Maya in Rosemont, and I must say, it’s an exceptional experience!
First and foremost, I want to give a special shout-out to Josh, who made me an excellent house margarita. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail made the drink truly stand out. It’s clear he takes pride in his craft, and it certainly added to my overall enjoyment.
The restaurant's late hours are a fantastic bonus for satisfying those late night ,taco cravings especially after a concert. I love that I can always count on Taco Maya to be there when I need a late-night meal!
While I found the prices to be on the higher side, I believe they are absolutely worth it. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and you can taste the difference. I particularly enjoy the signature tacos with black beans and rice—superb!
I always look forward to seeing Josh again. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious tacos and has easy parking! Also if you dine in you get a free bowl of chips and salsa! All homemade...
Read moreI’ve ordered from here twice. First time I learned they do not give you any salsa with your food like most Mexican restaurants do. We had to eat our taco dinners with no salsa. Tried this restaurant again and ordered seven salsas this time, each one is 35 cents in a very small container enough for one or maybe two tacos. Tacos were good and so were the black and refried beans. Nachos were a big disappointment as they were loaded with jalapeños from a jar, which were described as pickled jalapeños. To me they were like the kind served on sports stadium nachos not Mexican restaurants. All my favorite Mexican restaurants use fresh jalapeños on nachos so it was disappointing since they put way too many on the order. Chips were soggy as a result and very little cheese and beans. With a few changes (one being include a salsa with a taco dinner) and using fresh jalapeños or putting less “pickled” jalapeños or on the side would much better because everything...
