If you want fresh food with fresh ingredients cooked fresh to order this is the place to go. I ordered a single cheeseburger, a two n two (double cheeseburger) and an order of fries. All were cooked fresh to order. The order itself only took about 5-6 minutes to prepare. The reward for waiting that 5 or 6 minutes? A fresh and juicy burger with fries that were crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The fries were perfectly salted and reminiscent of another Chicago area great Gene n Judes. Pricing was about average for fast food in todays economy. The two n two was $7.39. Given that this burger isn’t much bigger than one of the national big 3 burger chains burgers, one might say the burger is overpriced. But lest we forget, this burger was made fresh to order and therefore justifies the cost. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The establishment could use a little sprucing up. The parking lot is in need of paving and the bathrooms could’ve used some attention. But I wouldn’t let these two things take away from the overall experience. On the google scale I am stuck giving 4 stars because the app doesn’t allow for partial scoring. However on my personal scale, all categories scored on a 1 thru 5 system and then divided by 3 leaves me giving the Sandlot a score of 4.67 out of 5

A longtime Park Ridge resident told me The Sandlot lives up to the hype, so I decided today was the day for a 2-N-2 with grilled onions, fries and a chocolate shake! Service was straightforward and the food was ready within a few minutes. I got takeout, and was home in less than 10 minutes. Everything was very good. The hand-cut fries are as you'd expect, and a fairly generous pile for $2.89. The "$5 shake" is superb, (especially since it's 81 degrees out today) and I loved the whipped cream and cherry on top. The 2-N-2 is tightly-packed and the grilled onion added to the other toppings, including crunchy lettuce. The sandlot sauce blended in very well to the flavor but did not overwhelm the taste of the patties. I have to agree with my friend, this place lives up to the hype, and hence it is not hype at all.

My son and I stopped in to the Sandlot today to experience the two-in-two burger. All of the staff worked hard to freshly prepare our order of one cheeseburger, one two-in-two burger, a classic chicago hotdog, one order of fresh cut fries, a large chocolate shake, and a large soda. The chocolate shake was prepared right in front of me with freshly scooped vanilla ice cream and topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. Both burgers were juicy and full of flavor. The Sandlot spread on the two-in-two burger was the perfect condiment. The fresh cut French fries were cooked to perfection, and the portion size was large enough for three to share. There were four tables inside and two tables outside to enjoy your meal. For fans of the Sandlot movie and those who love great food, the Sandlot is the place to be.

My recent visit to The Sandlot in Chicago was an absolute home run, leaving me thoroughly impressed with the restaurant's ambiance, delectable main menu, and exceptional service. Nestled in the heart of the city, this culinary gem delivers an unforgettable dining experience that caters to every palate. A standout feature of our evening was the impeccable service provided by our waitress, Lily, who added a personal touch to our visit.

Main Menu Marvels: The Sandlot's main menu is a veritable feast of flavors that celebrates the diverse culinary landscape of Chicago. We began our meal with their signature Sandlot Sliders, perfectly crafted bite-sized burgers with juicy patties and an array of mouthwatering toppings. The combination of flavors and textures in each slider was nothing short of delightful, setting the stage for a memorable culinary journey.

As we moved on to the main course, I couldn't resist trying their Smoked BBQ Ribs, which proved to be a true revelation. The tender and succulent ribs were slathered in a rich and smoky BBQ sauce, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that left me craving more. Accompanied by a side of their tangy coleslaw and perfectly seasoned fries, this dish was a true embodiment of comfort food at its finest.

Lily's Exceptional Service: Lily, our gracious and attentive waitress, exemplified the epitome of exceptional service at The Sandlot. From the moment we were seated, she welcomed us with a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm that made us feel right at home. Her in-depth knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she effortlessly guided us through the various offerings, ensuring our preferences were met with precision. Lily's attentiveness throughout the evening was remarkable, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.

Beyond the main menu, The Sandlot also features an array of craft cocktails and desserts that are worth exploring. Their mixologists craft inventive concoctions that perfectly complement the flavors of the dishes, and their dessert selection provides a sweet finale to a delectable meal.

In conclusion, The Sandlot is a culinary haven in Chicago that promises a memorable dining experience that hits it out of the park. The main menu offerings are a testament to the chef's passion for culinary excellence, and Lily's exceptional service adds a personal touch that elevates the entire experience. Whether you're seeking comfort food favorites or innovative culinary delights, The Sandlot is the place to be. For an all-star dining experience, look no further than this...

My wife works in the area and this was my favorite place to stop if I happened to be in park ridge visiting her. I stopped in today and the place really went down hill.

The burger was good but used to be great. The bun was grilled or toasted too long so that it was crunchy.

The wait staff was terrible. The lady taking orders was filling drinks so understandably she was busy but did not acknowledge customers waiting in line just kept looking away while making drinks (to the point that I thought someone in the back was coming out to take our order). Eventually she stepped up to the register for the now line of people and just took order with no acknowledgment.

The front register lady left as I was eating my food and a gentleman who took over for her was chatting with the staff in the prep area loudly. Complaining about her only working 2 days a week when she was supposed to work 5. Then complained about another guy and said that’s why we fired him. The whole time I was eating, it was complaining. A story about the ladies car breaking down but she only lived 3 blocks away.

Honestly not what you want to put up with when you yourself are stepping away from work, and now with the average food, I’ll...
