Santa Fe Burrito Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Malden

FOOD POISONING: My wife got a Carnitas bowl here on August 6th 2023 and got food poisoning. Her and I ate all of the same food... except she had carnitas.

Got a Steak burrito, it was passable / just OK. I had them put hot sauce in and they put in a ton but hardly tasted any flavor or heat. If you can't handle flavor or spice this is the place for you. If you want authentic Mexican food Tenoch is right down the street and Tu y Yo is a short drive over to Somerville.

We both each got a margarita which was filled with ice to the very top. Two sips and it was done. Barely any alcohol or any liquid at all.

For a good Margarita just go right down the street to Three Amigos. A pitcher there will be about six times the size and will get you smashed and you'll be out the door for literally the same price.

Churros were good but very oily. Big portion for the price but with the amount of oil it's not comfortable to finish one.

Flan was terrible, just a box mix. We took a bite and tossed it.

Price wise food is ~14 per person. Alcohol is $11 per miniscule Margarita.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT EAT PORK! I WAS ORDERING FOR 2! I ordered 4 different burritos. 2 were supposed Carnitas (pork) and the other 2 were supposed to be Carne Asada (beef). They gave me 4 Carnitas (pork) burritos. I called the restaurant and tried to explain in the NICEST WAY POSSIBLE. I even told him the food was good when it wasn’t and he told me I was WRONG! I had the receipt in my hand and in the beginning of the conversation he read my order back and LITERALLY said “ 2 carnitas and 2 carne asada.” When I asked for a refund, he said NO and told me to take it up with UberEats. I explained that THEY are the ones who messed up my order and he just kept telling me I was wrong and started telling how expensive the steak is. Burritos were also greasy EXTREMELY small for price. Honestly left feeling unsatisfied. We went for the the Monday $5 burrito special. We asked the sever if the $5 burrito deal is still going on she said yes and that it’s also for the bowl too. We were excited She proceeded with our order we got steak burrito and a bowl. When we got to the register this is the point when it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The total was full price it was not $5. They guy brush us off, and corrected us that the deal was for the carnitas and etc. that’s where customers service went down hill. We paid full price and left unsatisfied. The sever should have let us know that the meal that we purchased wasn’t part of the deal in the first place that would have just made us change our order and the guy at the register should have been nicer and...
