My goodness.
There aren’t enough words to describe how IN LOVE me and my partner are with this place. We live down the street, and are usually at Bikeeny a few times a week. Here are a few things we adore:
First and foremost, the staff. You will not meet a more delightful, warm, lively, skilled, darling group of humans at a cafe. Evelina, Serg, Alina, Leah, Parker, and a couple other names I forgot (sorry!) are the sweetest people, who truly care about your breakfast experience. They always meet you with a smile, even when they’ve got a line going out the door. They should be protected at all costs and treated with equal amounts of love from us patrons.
Secondly, the food, coffee, and the consistency. You will receive the same delicious meal, every time, and they pride themselves on it! They take their preparation seriously, and train any new employees in their art. The food is also so good - so simple, flavorful, and just right - not like other places that offer you a greasy, sandwich, or a pre-packed frozen reheated mess. It feels healthier because it IS! The coffee is also perfecto. ::chefs kiss::
Finally, I don’t know why we all aren’t supporting local businesses. Yeah, I like my cuppa Dunks every now and then like every New Englander, but that’s not what feels right to me as a consumer that cares about community. Shop and eat...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place! Bikeeny Caffe is a Moldovan-centric breakfast and lunch cafe, and at night it turns into BingeBowl; still Moldovan foods, but heartier and more dinner-based. I've had juices, coffees, breakfast sandwiches, bikeenies (they look like mini croissants that have different fillings and are from Moldova), and pastries. Never had a bad order. They are on food delivery services, and both on Uber Eats and in-person you can swap out ingredients, mix and match different types of milks and flavorings in the coffees, and every day there's different freshly made bikeenies (I've tried both a raspberry and a chive, and I liked the savory better, but that's just me). They also sell salads, bottled homemade cold brew and homemade juices, and I believe you can buy bags of coffee from there. The prices are reasonable and you are supporting a small local business. I've traveled a lot internationally and genuinely didn't know anything about Moldova, so it's cool to be able to say I had their walnut cake, fruit juice, and pastries. Their iced coffees, fresh juices and smoothie sizes are HUGE (32 oz) so the prices are...
Read moreUpdate: Seth, thank you for the response. Just to clarify, I did not have a problem with being asked personal info for contact tracing. What was surprising was that when I visited the cafe few days prior to that there were many more people coming in to the cafe but I did not see your staff getting personal info from anyone at that time. If you really take this seriously, I think the rules should be consistent for everyone. I felt as though I was being singled out (I brought this up to your staff and she mentioned that they don’t do this when they are busy which is odd given that it makes more sense to collect info during busy time).
Secondly, I was referring to the service of your employee regarding questions I had about your coffee, pastry. I was asking for recommendations and she didn’t seem very interested in helping me. These are tough times and the least one can do is be nice to each other. Thank you but I don’t need a refund. Ashok
Very good Coffee and pastries but the person taking the order doesn’t seem to be very interested in answering customers questions. There is room for improvement in...
